I've done pretty good on the tracking. 3 times so far this week but not tonight. A lot going on and I decided that I can track this weekend.

Glad you're carrying this through to March!

I do another challenge. I'm on a roll now and have tracked again today. I think I am tracking everyday now to get rid of this extra weight. I actually don't know what I weigh due to the fact that I weigh myself at work and I am not working! But my big belly tells me all I need to know. ugh.

KAYOTIC...thanks for doing this...even though I still don't think I have managed to actually complete one whole month of a challenge properly this had kept me going and now has propelled me to get myself back in the game.

Your great!

I did fine on Monday with my tracking, and I'll start another thread for the March challenge, so we can keep on going! There are always challenges that can trip us up, it really is about getting back on track, but also enjoying life, balance really helps!

I added my tracking in for this month. It's not exact, but it's close to what I've done. My problem is that I got in the habit of eating sweets during the Christmas season, and now I think that I need dessert every day! I'm still within my desired weight range though on the high end. I probably need to do some nutrition tracking in March.

Well now. I seem to have gotten serious about it all. I have tracked 7 days in a row! Fitness minutes too. In all reality it is because I have some weight to lose from my sedentary winter. Here I go!

KAYOTIC...I am glad your getting snow. You need some more ski days! emoticon emoticon

Keep it up! Great job!

I'm tracking my nutrition today, so far so good, and it's almost bedtime....should be good for today. I walked to work today, it was snowing! Snowed all day.....so maybe we will be able to snow a bit more.

If you can believe it iI am tracking again today! I have tracked fitness minutes as well as food three times this week and I might just keep it up. I have to walk in order for my back to heal and I guess it took this to get me to pull it together!

KAYOTIC...I am glad you got some skiing in at least! We had a wet fall and a quick freeze so now that the snow is melting we are down to the SHEET of ice that has been under it from the fall!

I tracked yesterday, and then just like last Thursday, I caved to the crackers after dinner... emoticon I think it was the skiing Wednesday....it makes me hungry! The scale still went down, so I'm just going to carry on.

Ronna, I hear you on the early spring, I think our ski on Wednesday may have been our last one! We didn't start until February, and we may end in February, that's just crazy!

It's Thursday so I must be tracking! (food, that is...)

I arranged a half day at work yesterday, so we skied XC, it may have been the last hurrah....if we don't get more snow it really won't be worth it. I even pulled out my old skis, good thing there was a lot of bare patches, rocks, mud etc...but I still love it more than any other sport.

great inspiration!

I'm tracking today, I was waffling, but decided to stick to my Mon/Thurs plan....consistency, right?

I think I was close to 2400 calories burned last week, we'll see where I get this week, didn't do anything w/ the HRM today or yesterday....

Finally, I'm able to track! Tracked yesterday and today. Exercised yesterday and today and it's wonderful!

I actually kind of double tracked. I've been also tracking exercise on the USDA site and tracked some of my food there. It's not nearly as flexible (the food one) as Spark but I love how they break how percentage of grains, etc. There's also a huge gauge that shows your weekly workout minutes that I like. It's very visual. And, it has an entry for workout DVDs, which I particularly like. Just kind of sad that the food tracker isn't more robust.

It is great that we can inspire each other to track. It does make a difference! And tracking everything - every bite - keeps us accountable. If you don't track everything and aren't being honest with yourself, then who can you be honest with??? lol Thanks for the inspiration, I have been doing much better with consistency in this area. Love this team - it is awesome

I tracked yesterday, and then when I was all done, I just got an urge for more, and hit the triscuits..... emoticon maybe it was the workouts? And I usually have a snack after my workout which I didn't so I think I should have worked in more calories earlier in the day....lesson learned!

Adlin, I hear you on the crazy week, mine's been insane, but at least if't Friday, and hopefully won't be too crazy bad....I've been trying to adjust and reorganize with all the illness in my office, it's like a crazy game of chess....and I don't have all the right players!

This has been a crazy week which has translated into no exercise and no tracking. Ugh. I'm missing both. Tracked food tonight. Chocolate was involved today, but I didn't go over by that much so I'm calling it good. I anticipate getting back on track over the three day weekend and am ready!

ThinRonna - I hope you are feeling better.

Hate that fuzzy-sick feeling.....hope you're feeling better soon, Ronna! Lots of steps thought, good job!

I'll be tracking tomorrow, but my scale dipped a smidge this morning again, not sure why, since I felt like I was a bit off on my eating, but I have been working out a lot, maybe that's helping stabilize my weight?

And we got some snow last night, hoping it helped our ski areas!

I got sick last night and never tracked my dinner...I got a cold that made life feel veeeerrrry fuzzy! I am going to track today instead now that I am feeling better...or at least used to the cold. So far I have climbed 230 steps today and it is just after one pm.

Did some good tracking on Monday, will be back to it on Thursday again, Some stuff I can track ahead (mostly breakfast, since I tend to do something similar most days).

I got to work out with my trainer yesterday even though the new class hasn't started yet, he just let me work out with his workout, so that was nice.

It's Monday so I'm tracking nutrition today.

I've been at the same weight all weekend (Sat, Sun and today) but it's at the high end of my range, so I'd really like to get it better controlled and down to the lower end of the range...

My fitness minutes/calories for last week on my HRM: 4h 45 min, 19.5 miles and 2534 calories. I feel good about those numbers.

Gotta get to work now!

Tracking day for nutrition for me today, so far on the fitness minutes, I'm up to 3 days this week w/ my HRM, and close to 2000 calories thanks to skiing yesterday...it was challenging in parts because it wasn't quite groomed all the way....still hoping for more snow!

Good job you all! It's inspiring to see you all so successful in the tracking, and Lilorita, I agree, it does get easier the more you do it!

I'm still here! And, I'm on a roll! I've tracked food since Saturday and have steadily been tracking my exercise the day of (something I fell behind in at one time). I almost didn't track food today, but since it was fairly easy to track, I did. So far, staying within range.

Y'all are doing great! I have to actaully track my fitness minutes...I almost forgot I was going to do that! I am tracking calories today...a good day to do it to keep me aware as I change my chocolate dessert over on the menu. A taste is good...no need for me to eat the whole thing!

Nicely done with the 2 strength sessions! I was regularly doing one a week, but since I moved and joined a new gym, I'm taking twice a week fitness classes that have me training twice a week, and I feel stronger and leaner....it's definitely worth the effort!

I got my two times of strength training in. Wow! I'm thinking I need to track my fruits and veggies as I've not been paying much attention to that and probably eat less than 5 most days. So, I'll add that to my tracking as well.

with yesterday's ski, I ended the week with 4:04 hrs of HRM exercise, 14.9 miles total, and burned 2117 calories, I like to see if I can get in 2000 calories of burn a week, so I did hit that goal!

Will track nutrition again on Monday. I only got in 5 fruits/veggies yesterday...a bit low for me, even though it's the minimum I shoot for, I like to get at least 7!

It's Superbowl Sunday, any plans for watching or avoiding the game?

We'll probably have it on at some point, but I don't need to see it. And it's just the two of us, so no crazy snacks to avoid!

Well done Ronna! 3 days tracking and vigorous cleaning, that will burn some calories...and make you feel good too, I feel so much better when my environment is uncluttered.

I skipped the gym yesterday, was too frustrated and agitated by a work situation....and had a headache (wine hangover?) from the second glass of wine the night before. But we should get out skiing today, it's cold out, but sunny, should be a nice day to get out.

I like tracking, even when I'm not doing the formal nutrition tracking of logging all my food, I still count up my fruits and veggies, I think that keeps me on a good health track.

Hello TRISHKA317!

Well I am tracking calories again today. Three times in a week is a record for me this year! It is very cold here today so I won't be getting out to exercise but vigorous cleaning should burn SOME extra calories right? Not so fun but in the end a good feeling.

Have a great weekend everybody!

Welcome Trish, great goal to get in strength training!

Adlin, I was a late in life skier (didn't put on a pair until I was over 40...) but I really enjoy it, especially the cross country skiing, it's my favorite activity!

I tracked nutrition yesterday, but have to add in another glass of wine and some chocolate from the neighbor....but I should still be under my goals, since I was on the lower end before we went over there.

I'll post my fitness minutes at the end of the week from my HRM, so far I'm at 2 hrs and 50 minutes this week, for the month (February) it's 2 hrs even...not too bad!

Welcome LiloRita!

The skiing sounds great! I've never in my life been skiing - just never been anywhere it was an option, but it's always seemed like a fun sport to me.

I tracked today - food & exercise. I used to use a HRM, but it's having issues and I decided to go without. Basically focus on the exercise itself as I was becoming a bit obsessed with the calories (it's in my DNA to be slightly obsessed with things).

I track my fitness with my HRM, and it has a great program that adds up the calorie burn as well...it's so helpful to see how many calories I burned each week with that.

Today is Thursday, so I'm tracking my nutrition, but I must say the scale has been kind the past couple of days despite the fact that I have felt a bit out of control with the sweets....but it's also that time of month....really explains a lot for me!

Welcome Lilorita, great goals for tracking!

I got in a couple of ski runs yesterday for 30 minutes worth of downhill on my Tele skis, I wish I could say I could Telemark, but sadly I need a lot of work! But I made it down, and got to practice some, and the snow was pretty good, so I can't complain!

Hi LILORITA ...I like that you guyss are tracking cardio too. I think I should track fitness minutes. I'm going to try to get three days a week in again now that I am better. Today I will track calories again.

I'm in! I'm going to stick with the 4 days per week goal for food, which so far is working for me. And, I'm really trying to track my fitness when I do it (even doing it in two sites right now), so count me in on that two.

Tracked both today.

January's challenge worked well, so let's keep going in February!

Anyone can join at anytime, and I would invite you to choose your tracking method of choice.

I've been tracking nutrition twice a week, and have been doing well with that.

If you want to join in that, set your weekly or monthly goal, and join in!

Maybe you feel like you'd rather track your fitness, set that goal and log it here!

Or if you really want to challenge yourself, set a nutrition and fitness tracking goal, it's up to you, what do you think would help you be a successful maintainer in February? Be accountable to the team, set your goal, and check in (daily, weekly, it's up to you...)

Let's have a successful February of tracking!
