Arrggh! Family drama, sorry to hear you had that! And from so far away, so really there was nothing you could do but listen, and take it all in....But you did great too, even if you don't feel you ended strong, still, much easier season w/ the tracking challenge, good job!

Let's rock 2012!

You did just great on this! I have to say...right at the end I allowed myself to get derailed! We had some family issues with extended family back in the states and I just forgot myself and did not track on my last day. My Last Day! Arg!!!!! For one it was my fault...I should have powered through it but also can I say...without saying too much...the family thing we got pulled into was just ridiculous! Makes me happy I live over here. People should think twice about dragging others into their drama...we basically were nothing but sounding boards but it messes with your thoughts and it becomes what you talk and think about for a while.

Well...enough rambling. I didn't complete the challenge but I am going to join the next one and try again. Hopefully with more focus too since our busy season is behind us. I do think it helped me though during a time that I normally am not able to hardly think about what I put in my mouth.

Thank you for the challenge!

your lunch sounds great, I would have a hard time tracking something like that too!

I'm done with my tracking for the week (and month, and year!) and I ran it right up to the top of my range....but not over, so I'm OK with that. Plus I did guesstimate on a couple of things....but all in all, I think it's pretty close. I guess I'll see what the scale says tomorrow!

got in my tracking on Monday, and that went well, and tracking again today (and back to work!) I have an odd schedule this week, I worked Mon and Tues, off Weds, on today, and off tomorrow! I'm going to enjoy that long weekend....and am trying to take some extra days off because I have a lot of time built up in my time off bank....

but the tracking....I seem to go up a pound on my "off" days, and back down, but since I was trying to get back in my range I still feel like I'm struggling with that. I may blog about it later, I've been really thinking hard about my goals, and what is realistic for me at this point, with my activity level being as high as I realistically feel it can be, and not feeling like I really eat that badly....I'm thinking about "correcting" my goal range....maybe I just need to set it to where I am currently since I actually feel good, I look fine, and I may just have to give up on fitting into some of those smaller clothes....still thinking!

Chocolate gets me too!!!!! We got a box from some friends and I will honestly be happy when it is gone!

I am glad you had a good holiday! I did too...mostly just being with the kids and playing with them. I will track today and tomorrow. I would have tracked yesterday but I got a migraine and it really put me out of the game...plus Patrick made "chef food" for lunch...savory wild rice pancakes with a ragout of smoked duck ...just too many ingredients to sort out on the food tracker so I skipped it.

Have a great day!

Hope the holiday was wonderful! We had a nice gathering, lots of family and friends...and we didn't get home too late!

I'm tracking today and Thursday this week, I think after yesterday's sugar-fest, I need to get to some more rational eating, and we brought home some indulgences, so I think I need to exercise a bit of self-control around them! Mostly they involve chocolate! My favorite stuff in the world!

I'm so glad I remembered to pick some earlier days this week to track, although I think I could manage it today as well Tomorrow would be another story!

My tracking went well yesterday, and I'm back in the downward trending again, now to keep that going!

I'm bringing a green salad for Christmas dinner,so there's at least one thing I can not worry about, I got some dried cranberries and candied pecans to go on the side and "Christmas" it up a bit.

Merry Christmas!

You are doing great!

I am tracking today and tomorrow! Yikes that Have to track on Christmas eve but the week got away from me and I don\t want to fall down on the challenge. It actually should not be so bad as I know what I will be eating already.

still hanging in there....but still up from my goal range too.

I tracked on Tuesday this week, and will track again tomorrow....we had a potluck at work yesterday, there was no way I was tracking that, and today was a workout day, so I didn't feel the need to track, and I had already planned on doing it tomorrow. I guess I'll see where I stand after that!

Ha, ha! I have 2 scales, I guess that makes up for you not having one.... emoticon emoticon You can probably keep in check just watching your measurements, or how your clothes feel.

I went up on the scale yesterday, despite staying on the tracking (and at my lower end, no less!) I blogged about it, but I'm going to stick to the plan, I'm still down a bit on my running average, which is what I try to follow, so I'm just going to chalk that up to, who knows, I guess what the body wants to do, it does.

You seem to have a good metabolism ...your body is using your food for energy and not storing it! Good going!

I am tracking today...now I will be away from the scale for three weeks at least so I cannot obsess about my weight. (I don't actually have a scale at home...I use a big one at work we use to weigh boxes!) I was slowly loosing weight so lets hope I can keep that going or at least maintain over the holidays...

I tracked Weds, and came in pretty low in the end, quite unusual for me! And then it showed nothing on the scale on Thursday morning...and yesterday I didn't track, it was our holiday meal at work, very indulgent! And I'm down almost a pound this morning....really makes no sense, I was fully prepared for a big gain!

Anyway, good job Ronna, hopefully the time at home will help with your eye trouble, and with the tracking....I'm on it today, tracking away, and I'm taking a rest day from the gym, I've been in the past 3 days with my training and cardio, seems like I need a break.

I tracked today...I will probably track again on Saturday. I am maintaining my weight but it is higher than I like it to be...I just got put on sick leave for my eye so that should help calm things down in my life and hopefully I can do a little better with my eating. I will go back to work one day (tomorrow) and then have about three weeks on leave.

It was good to get the tracking in early last week, it did help with the whole vacation mindset...

I'm tracking today, and probably Friday also for this week. I think that will work fine, I didn't track yesterday, and still dropped a little on the scale, so I think I'm doing OK so far for this season!

Well, I tracked again today...just made it in under the wire! Phew!

Again I went over but I have to say I am not sure my calorie range is accurate...I need to spend some time and check that out tonight...possibly reset it...anyway...

Nicely done, Thinronna! That sounds like a fun way to watch the Grinch with your kids....pizza and popcorn. mmmmm..

I did fine yesterday, even with the second glass of wine, I was under for the day, and the scale reported a better number today. Still tracking today too, since I may be off-line, or at least not have so much access after today. At least I'll be able to report the goal met for this week!

I've got a little quiet time, time to unroll my yoga mat and breathe...

Ok...so I tracked today and went slightly over on my calories which was surprising since I had pizza and popcorn with the kids tonight while watching the Grinch. I had a light lunch and my regular breakfast so that must have helped...plus I took the day off of work since I had a doctors appointment for my eye so I was not around any pastries today.

I like this challenge. I think it will be good for me...I have been dropping on the scale (needed to) and I think this will help me keep that up.

Have a great day! emoticon

The day has just begun, and so has the tracking! And I thought about it this morning, and will track tomorrow (Tuesday) as well, since we're driving to Las Vegas for a trip (part work, part fun) on Weds, and it will be difficult/impossible to track that! I guess to keep this challenge successful, I need to track today and tomorrow!

I get you on tracking on normal days, it's the routine that helps. Have fun at you're party tonight!

I was going to track today but realized I have a holiday party tonight and will most likely eating random food. I will make a point to track on Tues as it is a more normal day for me.

I'm going to start the new week today too. Sunday -Saturday works well for me anyway.

Plan: track 2 days, not sure which ones....but I guess I'd really better track tomorrow! Today is a gonner as far as that goes, and I probably need a rest day anyway, I'm sore from yesterday's workout at the gym.

Good luck!

I'm not too sophisticated so I was planning on posting to this thread, something like:

Week 1: 11/27-12/3: tracked 4 days, in range 3 out of 4 (just went slightly over yesterday) emoticon

I'm also dropping on the scale, so I feel good about this challenge so far!

Inspired by Coach Nancy's DailySpark blog, I thought I'd start a challenge for nutrition tracking. She said in her blog she tracks her food a couple of times a week, and I think that is well within reach. So here's my challenge: Track food at least twice a week, and post weekly (or more often) how I'm doing.

Who's with me?

For this week I've tracked 3 days, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and I started today.

It think I'd like to pick my rest days to track, since I should reduce my intake a bit on those days, and more free time means more eating time!
