It is a heavy duty treadmill rated for 375 pound which probably means it is probably good to 450. It solid but has a few quirks like the belt likes to head to the right and it noisy. The metal guides on the underside make noise was they guide the belt.

I have only run it when I am under 350 just out of fear of breaking it.

Once Spring starts up - we got a nice track near the house and outdoor walk/runs are the norm. Plus softball practice with the twins.

Do you know the weight limit for your treadmill? I seriously doubt if you will break it. I seldom run, but when I do it is in 30 to 45 second intervals. I am toooo fat to run much, but someday I would like to.

60 minutes for today. Workout video and kettle bell routine.
Day 28 of my exercise streak and Day 18 of the P/C Challenge. GO us!!!!

Got out of big man's recliner and got onto my big man's treadmill and sweated some. 30+ minutes - not too fast but with an incline. Still afraid to run on treadmilll - may break it.

75 minutes in the gym tonight. Bike, ARC and Treadmill. I came out of there with my hair dripping sweat. AWESOME. I read on Sparkpeople... "Sweat is Fat CRYING!" emoticon

I was a tad sore from the kettle bells today. But it was the good kind of sore that tells you if you did this often you would really have something to show for it. I think it could really help me get toned. The part that made me sore was the squats. I NEED to do them and just don't have the discipline to do them on my own. But if it is in the program I will do it, the whole competition thing fires up even if I am in the room by myself. Silly huh?

The first time I tried the kettle bells I didn't learn how to do it properly and tore my back up for several days. this time I got a Very basic beginners DVD and learned how to use them safely.

Whimpy or not if you are still exercising, you are still doing something good for yourself. emoticon emoticon

I keeping the wimpy exercise as an option until it either warms up or I lose enough were I can run on treadmill without fear of breaking it.

Keep it up!!!

60 minutes of Kettle Bells and Wii Fit. emoticon

I bought the kettle bell exercise program off of TV. (Never bought anything like that before from an infomercial.) The program was way to tough for me (right now), so I bought a beginners DVD and I think I will love it. I will tell you for sure if I can walk and use my arms tomorrow! emoticon

Awesome workout!!!

Okay so how did you know I would accept the challenge? My digestive system is having a revolt of a different kind. All of this healthy food has shut me down completely. Fiber from veggies and natural food is supposed to be good for you. I can't tell!!!!!!!!!

I wish you were feeling better. Sometimes it just takes time. As for the exercise, 40 minutes of walking is waaaaaay better than sitting on the couch!!!

Should we up the ante that exercise doesn't count unless you sweat?

I just try to think about things I ate today that I shouldn't have or that may have been good, but I ate too much of it. I see my exercise time as a chance to erase some of the days bad choices or mistakes. Also, I have whimpy knees and I want them to work better. I don't think they are bad, I think I have just never USED them!!! My next motivation may not help you, but I want to wear a "Little Black Dress" to a dance we go to every December. I have vowed to do this for about three years and I am determined to wear it this year. Every minute in the gym is preparing me for that party. I don't just plan to wear the dress, I plan to WEAR!!!! the dress. Okay so a little black dress won't help you, but do you have some visual of what being thinner and in a lot better shape would be like?

As for dinner. The hubby and I have "cooking" dates. I pick a healthy recipe and we shut off the TV turn on some music and fix the entire meal together. He doesn't seem to mind a healthier meal if he helped prepare it. (Secretly I am trying to teach him how to cook before he retires, so when I come home from work dinner will be ready.) Sneaky huh?

I hope this ideas can help you out. As for the neck and digestion. Motrin and Pepto Bismol. LOL Just kidding!!!!

Another wimpy workout - 40 minutes walking.

This cold weather coupled with all the illness in January has me frustrated I am not farther along with the workouts.

My digestive system had a mini revolt this week. Now I got a stiff neck (way to long meeting in too big of a room with me on the far end of the first row.

Feb has to be better. Need the wife to catch on to the program. Too many dinners out and not enought healthy dinners home.

Lettuce can be really hard on your system. I never eat iceberg. I did as a kid, but we really just don't digest it as well. emoticon

60 minutes of dance class tonight. I was a hot sweaty mess! But, I had a big smile on my face. I have turned that crazy corner people talk about when they say they are addicted to exercise. I used to wake up every morning wonder where and what I was going to eat that day. Now I am wondering what kind of exercise I can do. WOW what a change!

Oh this challenge is on BIG TIME! You may as well settle in because I will not let this streak die. Like you, it has really helped me stay with exercising. Was it me tormenting you that caused me to challenge me? Whatever it was I appreciate the competition. It has driven me to keep going.

Day 24 of my exercise streak.

I even earlier today. Had to drop daughter off at school at 6 am (pre-school field hockey indoor off season practice - more like a free for all pickup game) and got to work around 6:30. 30 minutes elliptical. Was tough - digestive system seems to be out of whack. Maybe one should not eat expired yogurt although I think it is the lettuce in the salad!

Keep this streak going!!! I do not think I would still have this streak going if it was not for this competition.

Awesome! This challenge is great for me because I am very competitive. I refuse to lose. lol Thank you so much for inviting me!!!! But you picked the wrong chick didn't you? I am going to drag this out until you break!!!!!

30 minutes on Wii Plus. I smashed my mileage record on Wii Fit Bicycle Island from 12 miles and change to 10 miles and change. I did the whole expert ride in 30 Minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not sure if I can do it faster, but I will try again some other night. I do the Wii thing when I need a break. I can't kill myself every night at the gym.

Thanks to you and the cold - I am dusting off the treadmill so I can get my workout at home indoors. I really like work's fitness center.

I do not have much in line of fitness equipment and I can not workout in basement w TV because I whack my hands on the ;less than 7 foot ceiling.

I really like this challenge and I am really motivated.

First of all I am a simple, but happy person and I can't even spell integrate let alone know what it means! LOL I am a case manager in a minimum to maximum women's prison. I have been in the prison business for almost 22 years. I know it sounds silly, but I really like what I do. When I met my husband 21 years ago, he did road maintenance for the local township, but I dragged him to prison and he is about to retire from our maintenance department. This is the second marriage for both of us. I have a son and a daughter, they are both married and each blessed me with a grandson. The hubby has a son and some step grandchildren.

I am an Information Technology guy making money off my IQ. Basically I solve really hard technical problems and providing understanding of complex computer systems. Really hard to explain in English. An example - Asia Customer wants to send "EDI" data to my company. The data will contain Chinese Characters (UNICODE). Our translator that changes EDI to something useful - considers Chinese characters to be garbage. Problem - No way to get EDI from customer into our system. Solution - ask Paul to come up with a couple of options and their cost. Another thing I do is I am subject matter expert on integration so if you need to integrate - I'm the guy that tells you how and how much effort it will take.

My wife. When I met her 18 years ago she was a Vice President and Department Head for First Union National Bank (Wachovia) for Trust and Estate taxes. Nice house, pool in general the good life - I married up - I'm the trophy husband. We downsized a little when we move to PA and she worked from home for the bank doing trust & estate tax stuff. Great deal but when she decided to home school Sarah (handicap physically and missing too much school due to surgeries) she retired. Now she a stay at home mom.

So what you and yours do?

I am actually a wannabe stand up comic. I have had a few people suggest I go for it. But, it hurts to bad when you bomb. I do love to roast people when they retire. I grew watching the Dean Martin Roasts and that is my favorite form of comedy. Insults and sarcasms are my specialty!

PS what do you and the Mrs. do for a living?

### update 30min 525 cals elliptical

Once Again I want to skip the Fitness Center and once again - I have to do it because losing is not an option. No 1000 cals tonight - maybe 500 or more.

75 very tough minutes in the gym.

Very good Paul!!!!!!! You can do this!!! I hope our challenge is helping you. It is helping me. My husband knows your name now and gets to hear about what work out you do every day. Too funny huh? Sorry if I was on my soapbox yesterday, I just want to motivate you!!!

### UPDATE #### Fitness Center 60 minutes (55 Elliptical / 5 slow walk) over 1000 calories!!!

I slept in skipping my AM workout. Now it is PM and I am not feeling it but either workout or lose and losing is not an option.

So off to the gym I go. Maybe I can get 60 minutes in. Been probably a year or more since the last 1000 calorie workout.

I got up at 5:30 am to workout for 30 minutes in case I didn't have time today. But I found time for 60 more minutes of a Leslie Sansone workout. TOTAL 90 minutes

Talk about cold, yesterday I rode my bike for two hours, today it was about 25 degrees. Did I mention that I hate being cold???

I walked 25 minutes in the wind and cold this evening just to keep the streak going.

She was happy. She wished he had left with me. She lost money when I was walking.

Because of our bet - I left the wife at the blackjack table and walked outside at the race track for 25 minutes!

120 minutes/2 hours riding 10 miles on the bicycle today. I know that is a slow pace, but we were just tooling around town and frankly I had to take a couple of brakes. I have not ridden in a long time. lol

Paul you challenged me on 01-15-13 and we both exercised that day, so I will consider this Day 5 or our challenge aka P/C Challenge. .

Gym Time! Thanks Paul! If not for our bet I would seriously have considered taking the day off.

Treadmill (walking only today), Strength training, bike, and ARC trainer
TOTAL 90 minutes

I had a glass of wine with dinner so I figured I better kick the exercise up 30 minutes. LOL

I created this because I have a side challenge with NEWCHICK. We are going to see who can keep our fitness streak (20m a day) the longest. NEWCHICK or me. This is so win-win.

Anyone who want to post on this thread for anything may.
Today 30+ minutes elliptical 525 calories.
