Feb challenge did not end well for me. I was hoping to be able to close the store early on Friday and get home early enough to workout. We don't like being on campus too late on unofficial as too many drunk college students have now gotten in their cars. Luckily we only encountered a few on the drive home.
Sat I planned to get up and workout but we had to go to the vet before they closed for the kitty and it just didn't happen.
I did track both days. But that's it.

No structured excercise again yesterday. But I did a session on the fitbit for 30 min that I tracked and I took 2400 steps, 4 floors and burned 104 calories. So I am going to consider it a light cardio workout. I did get the heartbeat up and worked up a sweat.
Overall yesterday was a crazy day 13 hours at the store in which I sat down 4 times for about 15-20 minutes. 1 time to each lunch and 3 times to go the bathroom. I did eat an ok dinner, tracked all my food and stayed in range, but did not get my fruits and veggies in and really have no idea how much water I had. Maybe my 8 glasses
Today is the last day and it is 6:30 am so I am sure that the drinking has already begun. Thank god it is almost over.

I feel like February was just a warm up for March's challenge. I did get my 62 minutes in and kept my calories to 1627 but my feet really were ready to be done on the elliptical tonight. Hope they are ready for a morning workout. I want to make sure I can at least get through day 1 of the new challenge.

I slept better last night, still not great but better.
Our Kitty does not need surgery so that is good, just a change in her diet. She's not a fan of change, but we'll all figure something out. She is still on the pain meds so that makes the morning a little challenging. Giving meds to a dog is way easier than a cat.
I need to go into work early again today and it is going to be a long day. I am trying to work up the motivation to get a short workout in this morning. Not sure if it's going to happen yet.
I did 30 minutes yesterday. I wouldn't normally count, but I'm going to this time. I carried 5 boxes with 100 sweatshirt and 200 t-shirts from our shop to my car and then from the car into the front of the store. Did 15 fights of steps and just kept moving with no sitting down. The whole day was pretty active with not much sitting.

Emily - 20 minutes is pretty good en you're tired.
Illinicheers - I hope you get more sleep tonight.
We're still getting snow but it's just flurries. I don't think it will amount to much today. Hopefully I won't have to shovel tonight. I need to run the vacuum tonight before hubby gets home.

So So day yesterday. I did workout 65 mins, track all my food and get my 5 fruits and veggies in, but ate too many calories.
I did not sleep well last night. Too much on my mind and my morning routine got thrown for a loop. I have to take our 1 kitty into the vet for this morning so they can do an ultra sound and check her out to see why she keeps getting UTI's.
Hopefully since I will be into work early today I can get in a little excercise. We'll see, if not oh well right this is a lifestyle not a diet.
Happy hump day

I was lazy all weekend and didn't track either. I did two Denise Austin workouts this morning (only 12 minutes each) and will walk at lunch unless my daughter wants to eat together. She starts today at th same place I work! I have healthy food packed ans am ready to get bsck o track. I've lost a pound each week for the past three. I'd like to push it up to two pounds a week.

Candy - My husband and I run a very small business. It has been in my family for 3 generations and it is definately a feast or famine business. There is either not enough business or so much you can't handle it. It's a 24/7 business at times. I get calls on my day off, on vacation and at 4:00 in the morning from the alarm company.
Thanks for the hug, it was much needed

This weeks challenge is to do 30 minutes of exercise everyday and Tuesday's extra challenge is 60 minutes of exercise.
Hey team, let's have 100% participation this week. Just don't let yourself go to bed without putting in 30 minutes of intentional exercise. You won't regret it, I promise!!!! (Okay well, if you broke a leg or something...You might regret that...)
I clocked 100 minutes in the gym today. I am determined to get things right this week. I have been consistently exercising, but I have been careless with my eating. That will not happen this week!

Illini, If you had to do something I am glad it was ice cream rather than smoking. I think it is easier to quit ice cream. What do you do for a living that is so stressful? Have you tried meditation to relieve the stress? I can't do much else but here is a giant cyber hug!
Hang in there!!!!!

Had a rough day yesterday. It started out great, long workout great food choices and then 1 small issue came up at work. Fine I can deal with that, then another and another and it didn't stop. Gotta love when your day off sucks. Since I quit smoking 2 1/2 years ago there have only been a few times I really wanted a cigarette. Yesterday was one of them. So instead I had ice cream, and goldfish, and more ice cream and more goldfish.
So I did not get it my 5 fruits and veggies. I did track all the crap I ate yesterday and did workout, but need to try and fine whatever motivation I can to get through this next week.
Congrats to all of you that did do well with the challenge this last week.

Carrot Cake - did not have any - but a real one with all the carrots, nuts, raisins and pineapple should count as a serving of fruit and vegetables! Really.
And if fruit juice counts - why not fermented fruit juice (wine)? Really.

Oh, if only Reese's were a veg! Then we could make wine a fruit using the same logic!

I had Orange juice, orange, apple and broccoli - so close - if we only had bananas.
Peanuts grow in the ground - they should count - I had a reese's cup and that would be the fifth one.

Thanks everyone! I just have to keep trying. I was good today until the afternoon. All I can do is exercise hard tonight and make good decisions the rest of the day. :-)

Got 45 minutes in on the elliptical before work but had to fight for every minute of it.

I had my 5 fruits and veggies (barely but I did it) Tracked all my food, stayed in range and did 50 mins of excercise.
The craziness started yesterday at work (finally) and I have a fear it will only be worse today. Hopefully I can stay on track with everything for the next 10 days

Candy - Unfortunately when I quick smoking Ice Cream became my nicotine replacement and that's how I ended up at spark. Now I put that ice cream snack into my Calorie plan for the day. I do however eat Edy's Slow Churn and keep it to 1 serving or my husbands latest find is the healthy choice frozen greek yogurt. The raspberry is amazing.

Candy, the best way I know for getting back on track is to take it one day at a time, one minute at a time if you have to. You can do it! None of us are perfect, we all make mistakes, fall off track, etc. Staying off track is totally optional!

I got 4 in - could have glass OJ but afraid of heartburn so close to bed. I know - should have thought of that earlier.
There was a couple of cherry pieces in my yogurt - does that count? :)

Strange that your fitness center had a bowl of candy?? Ours always has samples of protein bars or shakes.

I had 6 fruits and veggies today. Tracked everything, 45 mins of excercise, very active outside of that and in Calorie Range. Didn't realize it was no candy today. I don't usually eat candy (ice cream is my weakness) but dang was I craving it today. I resisted however and did not have any.

Fruits and Veggies? 5 servings? Really? I packed an apple and orange in my lunch - there they are sitting on my desk. Everything else is gone except of course for the endless supply of candy (Even the FITNESS CENTER has multiple bowls of candy - REALLY???).
Reese's or Orange.... Dog gone it - fine - I'll eat the orange.

I didn't make my 5 fruits and veggies. Usually it is no problem for me, but today it just wasn't happening.

There is no way I am getting 5 fruits and veggies unless we count potatoes and beans as a veggie (beans as in coffee and cocoa). The 60 minutes does not have to be all at once. Maybe a walk at lunch and workout after work or 100 crunches and 50 pushups in the AM.

Woke up yesterday totally unmotivated and not feeling right. Not sick per se, just not normal and as much as I tried to motivate myself I just couldn't do it. I did not exercise, I was not active and I did not make good food choices. The only good thing I can say about yesterday is I did track (and much to my surprise I wasn't that far over in calories)
I think I am just dreading the next 2 weeks of craziness I am going to have and my body rebelled yesterday. I think we all need those days every once in a while. Now to get a good workout in and start my week off right. I am going to need it.
