Diet - Good food day. Breakfast was a big fry up with lots of veggies and sausage from the butcher. Had a big a** salad (broccoli, cabbage, etc.) this afternoon. Two meals so I guess I can call that an IF even though I didn't plan it. Getting a little hungry now, but going to bed will fix that! No honey and no hot cocoa today. Had some black coffee for my scratchy throat *after* a 1 hour nap in the middle of the day. 71g carbs. Woohoo!
Exercise - Nothing, but yoga is planned for tomorrow.
Lifestyle - Lots of hanging out with pets and watching the snow melt. Too much time in front of the computer, but getting lots of little things done.
Am determined to wake up feeling better tomorrow!

Diet -- Go Local: I finished a 24 hours-long project where I made my first beef "bone broth" from a recipe on balancedbites.com, using local bones from the butcher down the street. That's going to be a relationship I develop. A free-standing meat store, with all kinds of neat stuff. I found my ground lamb there for the lamb burgers I'll make sometime in the next 5 days. I had Savannah drink two cups of the stuff. I need to blog.
Exercise -- Moderate Duration Aerobic Workout: With yesterday's long walks, and being home with a sick child last night and today, I followed my own pace and instinct. Today, it ended up being that 10-minute jump start video by Coach Nicole, and then I actually did the PEM assessments (at last!) to find out where my current level is. Surprisingly LOW/POOR. OK, cool. That will give me a sense of achievement later.
Lifestyle -- Calm, Relaxing Evening #2: Did not get off the computer, obviously. Was actually reading Savannah the MDA entry on What is Inflammation? after she dropped a bottle of conditioner on her face and it caused a cut and some swelling. I just quizzed her, "What makes you more sensitive to pain near the boo boo?!?" "BRADYKININ!" Kind of cool because Brady is my maiden name. Anyway, it was a nice evening. We didn't eat dinner because she's off her feed, and I think the bone broth satisfied her. We each had a paleo apple muffin warmed up in the microwave and buttered. She's feeling better.
Races Goal: Sub 8:30/mile for a Springtime Race! Volunteer at a race before June 2012!
Goal Winter & Spring 2012: Develop an interesting cross-training routine that will be fun for my daughter to join in on. 10,000 steps/day whether running or walking. Launch my SLEEP project!
