I am very fortunate to have a room to use as a "classroom" all of the time, and that is exactly how I have it set up. Several bookcases full of toys organized into "centers" or focused play areas, a play table and several racks of bins in the closet that I occasionally switch out for variety. There is even a built-in desk where I keep my binders and supplies.
It gets pretty chaotic in there during the day, but it is easy to organize at the end of each day, and my 3 two year old cc kids are starting to be pretty good about cleaining up a toy when they are done. My own, 4, is not quite as good....
