Welcome to the team. I hope you enjoy this challenge-- it's definitely been a great focus for me the past three weeks, and I continue to look forward to getting better.
Did you purchase the vitamin supplementation package from BB.com? I got the starter kit, which comes with a multi-vitamin, fish oil pill, and BCAA capsules. I'm just following the directions on the bottles for how/when to take them, taking 1 multi and 1 fish oil per day (usually with breakfast in the morning), and 1 BCAA cap 45 min. before exercise, and 1 cap immediately after.
As far as the protein shakes go, I'm using mine mostly as POST workout fuel. I will drink a shake (1 scoop protein with water) within the 30 min. after exercise, and then usually whenever my next "meal time" is meant to be after exercise (varies, depending on WHEN I get to the gym during my schedule), I'll have a protein bar (Quest bars, or a few Jamie Eason homemade bars) and/or an apple or 1/2 banana to round out my "meal". I will break that "small meal" into increments depending on my workout, so I count the shake, protein bar, and serving of fruit as my meal.
