Challenge Accountability for the July 2nd weekend for June 26 - July2

---S: Summer and fun. Add 60 minutes (more) per week of exercise to your regimen.

I logged 224 cardio minutes, and three 30 minute days of strength training and a one hour day of aqua resistance training (6/26-7/2)~ Total 374 minutes decrease of 90 minutes from last week. emoticon


---P: Pounds off! Try to lose 5% of your weight within the next eight weeks.
Goal: goal is 10 lbs by end on challenge

Maintained, no loss or gain.

---A: Activity on Spark. Add quality activity through the Spark People site.

I tracked food, fitness, water, read fitness blogs, articles, and motivational stories

---R: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! Update your Spark Page.

I changed my page from 4th of July to summer reflections and personal motivations.

---K: Keep the FRIENDS who are friends!

Commented on a couple of friends blogs, gave out some spark goodies, sent out some motivation to buddies.

I know...end of June, but I'm gonna try to fill in what I can, because these were kind of my goals when I got started back anyways!

---S: Summer and fun. Add 60 minutes (more) per week of exercise to your regimen.

June 4 weekend- I had a total of 124 cardio minutes starting out and 1 60 minute day of strength training (for the week of May 29-June 4)~ Total 204 minutes
June 11 weekend- I logged a total of 130 cardio minutes, but no strength training (6/5-6/11)~ Total of 130 minutes, missed my increase emoticon
June 18 weekend- I logged a total of 110 cardio minutes, and two 60 minute days of strength training (6/12-6/18)~ Total 230 minutes--- 100 minute increase from week before
June 25 weekend- I logged 284 cardio minutes, and two 30 minute days of strength training and one 2 hour day of aqua resistance training (6/19-6/25)~ Total 464 minutes increase of 234 minutes from last week


---P: Pounds off! Try to lose 5% of your weight within the next eight weeks.
Goal: goal is 10 lbs by end on challenge
June 4 weekend- maintained at 198 pounds
June 11 weekend- maintained at 198 pounds
June 18 weekend- gained 1 pound to 199

Ok! I realize that today June is 1/2 over but that still leaves lots of summer to work on this challenge and I am determined to get back into the swing of going for a healthy lifestyle. I'm in!! emoticon emoticon

Hello, Spark WV!

As one of the co-leaders, I am issuing a SUMMER challenge to you. It's going to involve several parts. Keep yourself accountable by logging in sometime over the weekend, and let us know about your progress.

---S: Summer and fun. Add 60 minutes (more) per week of exercise to your regimen. Summer is a fun season---walks in the park, playing games with kids and friends, swimming, hiking and bike (any type!) riding, etc. Take advantage of the fun and add more exercise minutes.

---P: Pounds off! Try to lose 5% of your weight within the next eight weeks.

---A: Activity on Spark. Add quality activity through the Spark People site. Do you use the menus? the Nutrition Tracker? The Exercise Tracker? Coach Nicole's great videos or Coach Meg's recipes? Do you use them consistently? What features can use faithfully that lets you reach your goal of losing weight and/or making healthy changes?


---R: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! Update your Spark Page. Think of members who have attractive pages and follow their leads! Get rid of the old and on with the new---the new that reflects who you are today. (Yes, we do change. Let the change reflect through your make-over of your Spark Page!)


---K: Keep the FRIENDS who are friends!
Think about those Friends on your Spark Page. How many of them are truly friends, people with whom you interact with (even if it's sporadically)? Then think about those whom you don't know or wonder why you are on their Friends list. See who wants to remain a friend, who is no longer active (and if there has been no activity on the page since 2009, it's a safe bet that they're not active!), and delete them. (Can we really have 500+ friends and truly have a SPARK relationship with them?)

Five parts to the challenge; 8 - 10 weeks of summer.
Break it down into parts you can do. But I really encourage everyone to join in on the S and P; that's our purpose--to find that new lifestyle!
