I don't think it's really emotional, but a trigger of mine is when I'm over tired, but hungry and lazy. I am more likely to give into cravings of junk and easy food during those time.
As for the emotional end of things, when I get depressed I'll either overeat/not pay attention or care as to what I'm eating or have a hunger lapse and not eat much of anything.

Yep me too when I am stressed especially when working or when my son is having one of his anger issues. My anxiety gets high and I start wanting chocolate but I have done really good and not had any in 6 weeks but it has entered my mind lol

I emotional eat when I am sad/depressed or very stressed out. I know my triggers now and I try to work around them. What are some things you do to work around your emotional eating triggers?

There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.
