Philadelphia cream cheese came out with a product called Indulgence. It's dark chocolate or milk chocolate cream cheese that's been whipped. I stir it up and dip 2 whole cups strawberries in 2 Tbls of it. The dark chocolate is 110 the milk chocolate 120 for the two tablespoons. Yummy and satisfies my sweet tooth. You can find in the dairy area wherever the cream cheese is. It's packaged different, in a plastic beige container with the word INDULGENCE.

I have a sweet tooth too so I usually have a jello cup with two tablespoons of non fat cool whip for a total of 25 calories. It seems to do the trick most of the time. On those occasions when my husband brings home sweet treats, instead of denying myself completely, I have a much smaller portion than I used to take.

I like to eat a kids cereal when I'm craving sweets. It's satisfying and I'm getting some good nutrients at the same time. My choice is cinnamon toast crunch. I get calcium from the milk and the cereal is fortified with vitamins.
I'm looking for healthier alternatives that still satisfy my sweet tooth. I know I'm making a lifestyle change and regular sweets just can't fit into my diet several times a week. Here are two recipes that have worked for me. Give them a try. Even if they don't satisfy your cravings, don't give up. Google for healthy brownies and you might be surprised with a new recipe.

I have found that for me it is best to have not forbidden foods. I eat what I want, I just work very hard on portion size and frequency. I have a couple of foods I don't bring in the house,like oreos!!! Mostly though I just try to eat a tiny bit, that usually works quite well for me, not always but truly most of the time. For some people just not eating certain foods works, it just makes me want them more.
My best tip is to eat dark chocolate, it is more satisfying and I eat less of it. Also, I eat fat free frozen yogurt (only a 1/2 cup portion) and if we have something like brownies I find that if I eat a tiny bit it helps some.
What works for one person doesn't always work for another, you have to experiment!

i've never had much of a sweet tooth but now that i know i cant have it i REALLY want brownies and chocolate chip cookies. anyone know of any healthy alternatives or healthy recipes for sweets. im craving it BAD.
