I really like the weekly mini challenge. I was thinking about making my own weekly challenges on things I know I need to work on!

Great idea. :)

I think adding a new mini-task every week will help us build a skill set towards lifelong healthy living. Maybe name the challenge "Steps Down the Aisle Challenge." For instance - Week 1: get a half-hour of exercise daily; Week 2: forsake junk food/fast food/convenience food; Week 3: get a half-hour of "me time" daily; etc. etc. etc. - in other words, something quantifiable that we can easily check off as being done every day. By the end of the challenge, we should have an entire list of new skills that we've built, one step at a time.

A weekly weigh-in/check-in is a great idea - maybe start a thread that could encompass that - and a separate thread to discuss the challenge itself, such as current progress, successes/challenges, and ideas for new challenges for coming weeks.

Calorie range would be a good goal for me. Feb 14 would be a great target date for whatever we came up with. Let's toss a few idea around.

I think that sounds like a great idea! How would people want to do it?

I would think that we should have a certain day of the week to weigh in. We could do other challenges too (staying in calorie range, drinking water, getting in exercise, ect.). Would you want these to be the same each week or rotate and focus on something different each week?

Does anyone else have any ideas? Who else would like to participate?

I think what this group needs is a good Group-wide challenge! Why not? We all have the same goal, to lose weight before our weddings, So lets do it!! Use this message board to give ideas for a challenge!
