we had for the 4th - sirloin steak, gluten free macaroni salad, coleslaw, pickled beets, baked beans, gluten free cornbread, a relish tray of black olives, green olives, dill spears, sweet pickles, and sugar free strawberry angel food cake.

Breakfast: scramble of 2 huge mushrooms, a little onion, 2 c spinach, 3 oz lean deli ham and 2 eggsland eggs, shredded sharp cheese

P1, doctor recommended this diet to get the weight off (and lower my BP), started reading the book last night. no limits set on the amounts as long as we eat low carb and lean and I need a big breakfast to get going. Headed out to weed the garden this morning, then shower and hit the gym and laundromat, so it will be a busy day.

Sunday: Crazy day since I was gone all morning and part of the afternoon at a gymnastics meet. I took snacks and two bottles of water which helped.

B - Ham & Egg cup, spicy V8
S - 10 Snap peas & 4oz 2% cottage cheese
S - Chobani Blackberry Greek Yogurt
Late L - leftover (the last of) Chicken Tortilla Soup without the tortillas but with diced 1/4 avocado and 1 Tbsp sour cream
D - Olive Garden with family. Had the Seafood Brodetto (removed the two slices of toasted bread) and salad. Did have a bite of a breadstick, but it was too salty so I wasn't tempted to eat more. Yea!!!

Alovebeam - girl you know the drill. P1 is 3 meals and 3 snacks, 4.5 cups of veggies etc. you aren't hitting veggies, there is no fruit in p1, and I would be starving if one cup of chili at dinner was the last thing I ate.

I actually make up the entire ranch package and keep it on hand since I use it frequently for salads or dipping. 2 cups of fage/greek yogurt (or any plain yogurt) mixes with the package of rance and then refrigerate for an hour or so for the flavors to develop.

If "her lunch" is meaning me - my 2 tbsp of fage is mixed with dry ranch mix for a dip with veggies and the hummus is a side dip also. I tend to do each and a ton of veggies.

Coconut milk (in the can - light version) is fine to cook with in phase 1. Coconut milk as in milk alternative (in the carton type such as Soy Delicious brand) is fine for phase 1 too as long as it has no sugar added to it.

I noticed in a posting that with her lunch she added 2 Tbl of fage? Did she mix it with her hummus or just ate it. And I am not familiar with coconut milk, can we have that on Phase 1 I am on day 10.

P1 FOOD/MEALS:

Thursday, Aug 11(P1, D1)
Breakfast: 16 ounces coffee w/ 3/8th cup of unsweetened coconut milk

Snack: Technically late breakfast (household's day off and houseguests) 2 eggs, 2 slices bacon and 3 pork sausages. Technically not beachy sausage/bacon but lifestyle choices!

Lunch: red sweet pepper (1 3/4C) w/hummus (2tbsp) and fage (1tbsp)

Snack: 1/2 ounce almonds, pork sausage link

Dinner: 2C romaine w/tomato and cucumber (1/2c each), 5 ounces sirloin boneless pork chop, wishbone salad spritzer

Snack: cup of Fage w/crystal light packet. 1/2 ounce raw cashews and 2 tbsp of Cool Whip

Calorie/carb/fat/protein count: 1316/42/75/115

Breakfast: Espresso w/1Tbsp Half&Half,

Snack: 1/2 ounce almonds

Lunch: (ate lunch at 1030) 5 ounces pork sirloin boneless chop, 1.75C frozen cauliflower made into cauliflower mash, 1 slice FF sharp cheese

Snack:cup of irish breakfast tea w/ 1C unsweetened coconut milk, 1 ounce of sharp cheese

Dinner: 3.5 cups romaine, 1/2C tomatoes, 1/2C cucumber, 2 ounces diced ham, 1 boiled egg, 2 Tbsp caeser salad dressing

Snack: cup of Fage w/crystal light packet. 1/2 ounce raw cashews and 2 tbsp of Cool Whip

Snack: 10 walmart popcorn chicken(aliegh tempted me..lol)

Dinner: 6oz pork sirloin

Breakfast: 1/2 C egg whites, 1oz cheese, 2oz diced ham, 3oz broccoli, 1/2C diced onion, espresso w/1Tbsp half&half

Went to BBQ/Company Party so more or less off p1: Pulled pork, brisket, beans, cole slaw, couple glasses of wine, raw veggies and shared a slice of apple pie. Back to the plan on monday.

Snack: 1 cup fage w/crystal light, 1/2 oz raw cashews and 2 tbsp cool whip

Snack: 1/2 oz raw cashes, 1 cup fage w/crystal light, 2 tbsp cool whip, 2 tbsp unsweetened coconut

**technically coconut isn't allowed but my lifestyle choice. Late breakfast, hence no lunch

Dinner: 3.5 cups romaine, 4 oz lean ground turkey (taco style), 1oz shredded mozarrella, 2 tbsp fage, 4tbsp salsa, 1/4c black beans, 50gm avocado

Snack: 1 cup fage, 2 tbsp cool whip, crystal light
