Cooking here (except turkeys) but entertaining was done elsewhere
so did work on decluttering living/familyroom some during ealy November between mending sessions. The goals are (1) to reclaim a major room and (2) to get everything cleared out of the mending pile. Making good headway but wasn't done when got hijacked by Thanksgiving prep etal.
Currently "Sandblasting" my kitchen post-holiday (DH loves to get heavily involved in the holiday cooking so kitchen looked like a war zone!) It has taken a couple days but almost done.
Off to touch up the bedroom & bath areas that I 'd thoroughly cleaned a week or so ago before I get back to the kitchen food cabinets/pantry -straightening them up (as I'd cleaned and reorganized all but one over the summer) and then finally, if I have time, cleaning out that final food cupboard.
DH has third shift this week so after 10pm I'll be up washing floors - kitchen, bath, backhall - so they can be dry and back to normal by the time he gets home. That should be the final step of my "sandblasting" of the kitchen so I can finally get back to making progress on my regular project/decluttering list.

Linda, go take a nap! It is amazing how much good that will do. I've had mine already today. I won't say I was raring to go on cleaning the living room when I got up, but...I got it done! Only took a couple of hours. Animal hair sure does accumulate fast! Oh wait...I haven't dusted in forever; just run the vacuum from time to time.

Now THIS is one I need to do! I volunteered to hav Thanksgiving at my house this year. One main reason is it forces me to clean up . I took the 2.5 workdays prior to T-giving off just for the cleanup Hope that's enough time!
