My scales made me happy this morning too! I am having one of those days when I am struggling. I am very tired today and I am craving carbs. I will stick with mostly complex carbs and chart them before I eat them that way the consequences are staring me in the face and I am not making on the spot decisions.

Now I know people say things when they have had a drink or 2 yet the words that where uttered to me the other night where just soul crushing. To be told by a good male friend ( that is married and is a huge flirt) said to me last night after I was feeling really pretty in my new summer dress that, " his new girl friend is hotter and thinner than me". Now, I didn't say anything to him as I was so shocked at this remark. My confidence slid out the door and i was completely deflated. Trying hard not to let it get to me, yet those words " hotter and thinner" where just a big old slap in the face considering he knows i am working out and loosing weight. Just remember people, words hurt too.

Today I know I have a lot to do but don't know where to start. DH has been home last 2 days and I rarely get to exercise and it's harder to eat right when he's here. I've been on the go with kids' appointments and work so I haven't done much around the house either. He just left and it's time to get everyone moving! Housework and treadmill and spending quality fun time with the kids. I feel so overwhelmed.

Thank you SMUSICMOM. Today was a hard day as I am so sore from 2 back to back days at the gym. I just want to cry I hurt so bad. Yet I know that in the end the pain will be gone in a day or 2 and I will look back on this post and giggle at how whinny I sound.

I've had a good week considering hubby went to ER, then to ICU and is now in a rehab facility. I held up with the eating healthy and all. I'm proud of that!! But now, another weekend is here and I'm kinda scared? Man I don't want to blow this. I like feeling better and having a little more pep in my step!! I guess anxious is a good word for how I feel right now as I get ready to face the weekend (usually a harder time to stay focused and etc.)

Hi there,
I'm feeling great. Waking up at 6:15 am 3 x a week to work out is getting so much easier now. I find it have way more energy through out the day. The past 2 weeks have been such an amazing change for me and meeting so many inspiring women and men here on SP! Thanks for starting a great topic!

Hello! I am feeling a little stressed. Today I messed up some reports in my department and was yelled at by my manager. I felt like two feet tall. This is one of the days where I would come home, eat my weight in food, and lounge around. No! Not today! I am not always going to have good days. I take my punishment, at home doing schoolwork, and will work out in just a bit. Can't have sunshine all the time.....How is everyone else's day going?

What a great thread idea! I am feeling happy because I've had a very successful day at work and I got to have lunch with a good friend. She's a triathlete, so she loves to eat lunch with me - we chow down on the healthy food together without commentary about our "rabbit food".
Keep it up, SMUSICMOM - it will just keep getting better!

Feeling great this morning! After eating healthy and not binging or overeating for a week, I phyiscally feel so much better. I'm perky and already have more energy! So, physicallly feeling better leads to mentally feeling better and feeling more motivated for the road a head of me...... sticking to it and loosing this weight. Getting healthier!!

Not quite. I have final assignments to finish this week. I'm in the home stretch! I am feeling good today. I zoomed through work and in the room working through assignments. I found a yummy snack- I made a crushed ice drink with ice, strawberries, blueberries, watermelon, and peaches. It was just enough to cool me off.

I agree, I also eat when I am feeling emotional and want to numb my feelings. I, too am a student. I am prepping for the GRE (Graduate Record Exam) and applying to clinical psychology programs, so life can be really stressful. In addition, time is at a premium so shopping and cooking can fall by the wayside. But, this year I am committed to getting back into shape and being physically able to hike the Grand Canyon next summer as a celebration of earning my bachelors degree.
Tonight I am feeling stressed, grief (I am still grieving a loss I experienced last summer, which is what triggered the gain), and lonely. Loneliness is one of hard ones to deal with - and that's one that I tend to turn to food, but tonight instead I am posting here. Thank you for starting the thread and best wishes with your finals, Ms Beauty.

Beauty, hope you finished all that homework and kept energized!
I currently am feeling proud.... made it through the World Cup viewing party (geeze, worse than trying to get through the super bowl). Did not overeat!! Cleaned up and didn't pig out before getting stuff put away!! No more binging for me!

This forum is one where you can share how you are feeling and your reactions to those feelings. I tend to become an eater when I am bored, tired, angry, sad. Often talking to others helps me through those times.I found that thinking first keeps me from mindlessly eating.
I will start off the post with what I am feeling. I am a little tired but I have too much homework to do to entertain eating too much (finals- business law and financial accounting). Feel free to post happy thoughts or just say "Hey!"
