I subscribe to RA Warrior. It's a great blog. I get emails several times a week. She also tweets. The tweets have links to other interesting and helpful people and professionals.
Do I loose days or weeks when I get a flare. Well since I've been diagnosed six or so months ago, it's been one big flare. The day before yesterday my Rheumy said the RAD is spreading. Duh! Lol To fill you in, two weeks ago my knee decided to fall apart. It's been intensely painful on and off. Heat helps. I'm starting PT with a tens unit next week and I"m getting a wheeled walker with a built in seat. It will help a lot until I get better. I start Humera next Friday. Thank goodness! The Embrel, I've been taking is like injecting water into my system. It hasn't done much at all. But getting back to loosing time. I don't really look at getting a flare or RA spreading or in general getting an exacerbation, as loosing time. I may have to change my schedule or take more naps, but loosing time, no. I don't loose time. Time is what I make of it. I hobbled to the pool where I teach swimming to kids. The water was helpful to me, the teaching helped me to focus more. It took my mind off myself and my pain. I cat nap in the car before I go places or after I get there. Sometimes I feel like a cat. I wake up feeling good most of the time. The pain is worse when I get up, but my energy level is better. Time to stretch and go. I consider most things as stepping stones for something better. It's just a matter of perception. I'm not loosing time at all, I'm living life as healthy and as fun as I can, that's all.
If anyone wants to tweet me my name is miamirn. Easy peasey. Don't you think?
Have a great night!
