My teeth have always been cavity prone and fragile. I haven't noticed a big difference since being diagnosed. I never really associated the mouth sores with the methotrexate before, but I do get them every so often. I'll continue supplementing the folic acid regularly (1 mg pill daily).

I have lots of fillings-so I don't know, but one of my patients asked me the same question-he
said for him-it was methotrexate.I did get some major mouth sores when I started on it-rarely
now.Good luck.

One thing I have run into is a severe case of teeth grinding. I got a splint (little spacer that clips onto my bottom teeth) to try and keep me from grinding so much, but it no longer stays on... I need to find a new dentist that can refit it since my old dentist had to quit (strangely enough due to complications from RAD). I have also had more problems with mouth sores thanks to methotrexate, but I have pretty much eliminated those with added folic acid. I hope that you can find some relief no matter what road you have to take!

I was wondering if anyone else has experience severe dental issues since being diagnosed with RAD? Seems like my dental issues have gotten much worst for me and I'm not even taking any kind of medication for it since 2006 My teeth are cracking fillings have fallen out I'm looking into getting all my teeth pull and getting dentures once I come up with the money for it. I used to have such anice smile now its frightening to look at
