Sounds good to me, hope you recover well and soon!

And I am v.e.r.y. slow ;) I walk 1 minute, run 1 minute and am only doing about 1.25-2 miles right now. Average page works out to 14-16 minutes per mile with the walk breaks.

Hi! My name is Grace and I live close to the Rose Bowl. I've wanted start running but I know that I would have to start slow and work my way up. You probably run faster that I could at this time. Unfortunately, the podiatrist told me I have a heel spur and need to limit walking and exercise for the next two weeks. I've lost quite a bit of weight but I seem to be stuck now and need to increase my efforts. I think running would be great. Can we stay in touch? I'd like to touch bases with you after my two week hiatus and see if I can handle a walk around the bowl and then maybe after a couple of days of walking to ensure my foot is OK, start running.

Hi all,

I am looking for a running buddy (or buddies) to train on Saturday mornings (8 am or later, can be determined later) around the Rosebowl or other places in Pasadena. I am SLOW, I run about 14-15 minute pace right now. I am training to build mileage (right now I am under 2 miles) so that I can start half-marathon training in the fall (for a Spring 2013 half-marathon). I've seen several other women my size (size 16 or higher) running around the bowl-- so I KNOW you are out there! All are welcome, just note this will be a slow-paced group to start and we will gain speed and mileage as we move forward. I also would be interested in meeting Tues. and Thurs. mornings about 7 am.
