Here are the Kale Chips, you wanted.

Kale- wash, dry,place on cookie sheet
toss with extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper (sprinkle on top first) spread evenly
put in 400 degree oven for 15 minutes
some like garlic salt, but I can't have too much garlic

I will try to type this again, I had it almost all typed, hit the wrong key and away it went. Hope someone is enjoying it. LOFL

Banana Bread

(The Greatest ever without sugar or oil)

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar free applesauce
3/4 cup honey
2 eggs, beaten
3 mashed overripe bananas

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, Lightly grease a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. ( I used 2 smaller ones)

n a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. In a separate bowl, mix together applesauce and honey. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture, stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.

Bake in preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.

NOTE:

I personally put all of the ingredients in a large bowl together and mixed well with my electric beater, I checked it at 50 minutes since I used 2 smaller pans, and the toothpick came out clean. It all depends on your oven, and I know mine pretty well. :)

I haven't taken mine out of the pans, I always just leave in them until I am ready to cut slices, don't dry out as fast I find.

Oranges and Avocados for a Big Belly

People with big middles tend to have higher levels of cortisol, the body’s key stress hormone. Too much cortisol slows your metabolism and also breaks down muscle, making you hard-wired to store fat. Vitamin C is known to reduce levels of cortisol. Pair oranges with avocados, rich in monounsaturated fats (or MUFAs), which are known to reduce inflammation and decrease fat storage in the belly.

Slim-Belly Salad: Take 1 avocado, pitted and sliced, and mix it with 3 oranges, peeled and parted. Toss with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, another MUFA, and a dash of salt. Eat this every day for lunch; add grilled chicken for protein, which will provide prolonged satiety and satisfaction.

Low-fat Cottage Cheese and Black Beans for a Big Bottom

Low-fat dairy is key. Research shows increasing calcium levels with a low-fat diet will actually speed up weight loss as calcium promotes fat breakdown. Pair low-fat cottage cheese with black beans; complex carbs will amp up weight loss further in women with this body type. Together, this combo will also decrease the amount of estrogen circulating in the body (estrogen is associated with carrying weight in your bottom).

Slim Bottom Dip: Mix one can of black beans (drained, low-sodium) and one 12-ounce container of low-fat cottage cheese. Mix together with 3 plum tomatoes, diced, a half-can of corn, and fresh chopped cilantro and hot sauce to taste. Eat with veggies or whole-grain crackers. Enjoy a quarter-cup as a snack between breakfast and lunch, and quarter-cup as a snack between lunch and dinner.

Chris, I don't eat oatmeal much.....but I do put fruit in my yogurt and blueberries are a favourite.

I usually grab a hard boiled egg and slice it thinly on an organice rice cake. Had a hard time finding rice cakes in the US (Fort Worth area)... but we have them here.

Also have mini ones in the baby section - topped with yogurt (3 to a serve) nice with a cuppa.

Oh, yummy, Gloria! Excellent snacks!

Here is a drink to go along with them.

Hot and spicy chocolate tea! 2 servings

1 cup skim milk
1 cup water bring just to boil, remove from heat and add 2 tea bags. I use black tea.decaf or caff.
cover and brew 2-5 minutes. remove bags and squeeze them out.
add 1 T sugar substitute, or sugar
1 tsp cocoa
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp ginger
1/8 tsp nutmeg
stir and serve. emoticon

Pureed pumpkin, plain or vanilla low fat yogurt,skim milk , cinnamon, ginger and either honey or other sweetener. Blend, pour in glass and top with a sprinkle of graham cracker.

SparkPeople's January calendar had healthy snacks each day on it, so I'll put them on here.

I'll put on 5 to bring it up to date.

1 - Dip apple slices into a spoonful of peanut butter. Sprinkle each slice with raisins and/or coconut

2 - Make your own trail mix with your favourite nuts, dried fruits, and cereals. Separate the batch into plastic baggies for instant portion control

3 - Make a mini antipasto plate using small servings of low-fat cheese, deli turkey, olives, and whole-wheat crackers

4 - Top low-fat or fat-free cottage cheese with almonds and blueberries. Great for breakfast too!

5 - Heat air-popped popcorn and top with your favourite seasonings. Try herbs, and a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese or a light dusting
