I'm still finding some foods in the freezer that are slightly heavier than I will be eating by next week. Balancing with kale, lettuce etc. Also got in 30 minutes outdoor walking yesterday and today after all the prodding from family and even our pastor!

All junk food is out of the house (except for what is in my tummy) so lots of good fruits and vegetables on my menus.

I'm back on track now! I probably won't make my goals for this month, but that's ok. I'm just glad to be eating right and exercising regularly again! I feel so much better.

October almost done...but I am jumpin in anyway!
I am making a goal to get outside for at least 10 minutes each day.

Seems sorta silly...but the seasons are changing and I find that my activity has decreased and I have not been getting outside, so I am going to do this!

Having said I get in some walking almost daily, now I must say . . . I didn't get in any the past couple of days!!

Yes, it is a painful thing Chris and just can't make my legs walk when it gets really bad!

We've still got two weeks left in October and can still reach our goals! How are you doing?

A Sciatica flare up has made my back and legs painful but I still get in walking, almost daily. Have not been on the bike recently, a bit afraid it might make Sciatica worse.

I have had good days and so-so days. I, too have a bit of injury to work around, as I don't want to make matters worse.
Concentrating on calmer workouts, with more Yoga, to sooth things.

I haven't been doing too well so far this month. I've been merely maintaining due to an injury and lots of schoolwork. However, I HAVE done strength training twice a week for 2 weeks in a row! Biggie for me. Today, I am re-starting everything! There's still time to see some results this month.

Modified cross country skiing, today,as well as yoga and strength training.

I posted some goals for October on another team page earlier in the month. I'm going to cut and paste them here along with my update.

I'm beginning to doubt my ability to achieve my October goals. I've had several things going on that have used up my time and mental facilities. Plus, I've had inflamed IT bands that I'm trying to heal. My goals:

My goals for October:

1. I want to see "150" on the scale. As we all know, weight fluctuates from day to day. The lowest I have seen on the scale is 151.4, then 155. This goal should be very attainable for me, if I just persist! To achieve this goal I will:

2. Stay within my calorie range 6 times per week.
3. Strength train 2 x a week
4. Cardio (at least 30 minutes) 3 times a week.

I have eaten over my calorie limit more than once a week and the other days, I have eaten at the upper end of the range. I have actually done the strength training, but my cardio has suffered. I have maintained, which is better than gaining. I'm going to keep these goals as they are and step back up for the rest of the month. We'll see what happens.

Chris, exercise bikes are great for exercising too! My October goal is to ride mine more often but right now I seem to be getting in more walks! My walks are the inside perimeters of a big store and that's okay too, gets my legs moving.

Hello everyone!

I've been back on SP only intermittantly and gaining the weight back by leaps and bounds. My goals for October will be to be faithful in tracking my intake and getting some daily exercise in.

1st goal 255# MET 2/20/12 (Update: Met this goal but now have gained the weight back so it is now a goal once again)
2nd goal 205#
3rd goal 155#

I did good in September with my healthy snacks and limited time in the evenings to have them. So now I'll work on some exercise cause I'm lax in that part of my program.

October Goals:

To get in 30 minutes on my exercise bike at least 3 times a week and gradually work up to more often!

I did great in September but I'm going to do even better in October!

I will weigh and measure my food.
I will eliminate processed food as much as possible.
I will do the 30 Day Shred 6x a week.
I will do DDP Yoga 7x a week.
I will aim for at least 6,000 steps a day.
