My little one, well he's 8, is back riding his bike again. He got on his bike the next day!! We rode 2.44 mi. one day and 2.73 mi. another day. Too bad it's raining this morning. I skipped yesterday to go to yard sales.
This coming week will good since the kids will be at a camp. I can go to the gym!!! :)

So far, daily exercise is not going so well for me. The kids have been sick or injured. My 8 yr old just wiped out on his bike so chasing them or riding with them is out. I was going to go to the gym, but he slept in. Maybe I can pry the t.v. away and do something. argh
I know this challenge was a year ago, but now that I am done with my hot yoga studio for the summer, I will need something. My husband thinks I am weak because I need challenges, but I keep telling him everyone is different. Whatever works!

The past 2-3 weeks have been awful for my goals. My kids went to free movies and thus no exercise in the morning for me. I've tried to get up really early and go out for a walk/jog, but I was too tired. I just don't have the heart to take them to the gym again and again. My niece visited and doesn't have tennis shoes so I CAN'T take her. ho hum
hopefully this week will bring better opportunities or I will seek some out.
Even though I didn't get on here much this month, I have been working on my goals. For June, I made the commitment to walk again. In the last two weeks of the month I walked 5/7 days and 6/7 days for 45 minutes each day. I'm feeling good, and will continue. Can't wait to see the challenge for July.
Watch me do this!

I am putting the focus on exercise this month. I have gotten into a good routine with going to the gym. My 8 yr old loves the child watch room at the YMCA, so he likes going with me. Next week, I will add in morning strength/cardio. I got the Sparkpeople 28 Day Boot Camp DVD, so I am hoping it will keep me motivated. The trick will be getting up and doing it before the little people in my house wake up. :D

With the kids being out of school I have been trying to compromise with them and my exercise. I used to exercise every day. I am down to maybe 3-4 days. I still get my T and Th for sure because my friend's kids will be at the gym daycare also. I squeezed in Friday this week before a splash pad as a trade off. I may just have to do more at home. : )
My challenge to myself is get as much as I can because food, treats and eating with friends is happening a lot. : (

This month I am working on just moving! I've been walking for at least 10 minutes (to the mail box and back) 3 days a week and the other two I've been working with the heavy bag. The punching bag is new for me. I've never taken a boxing class or anything but I know I've always wanted to do something like that. Just to let myself feel like a little bit of a bad ass. There's so many things I want to do again that I haven't done since I was a kid.

I have always wanted to learn to kayak, so I am going to sign my boys and I up to learn. After the class, I want to get out and see the water! My goal is to kayak every weekend.

I'm moving to a new house in Florida (from Minnesota) and stuck right now, it is suddenly a struggle just to maintain, but I made sure to have the YMCA near the new place so I can recommit to swimming everyday. I've been skipping because I'm cleaning and packing all week, but my weight shows that it isn't the same. I've figured out that no matter what physical activity I do, when I swim I lose and I can easily burn enough to take care of any over calories days, but with land exercise I'm not able to move fast enough yet to sustain the levels I need to lose.
I like the idea of recommitting to moving every day again for June.

I have been off SP for a while due to family illnesses and a list of many other reasons but hope to get back into the groove once again and lose my weight. I tend to binge eat extremely bad due to stress situations and been having a lot of those here lately. I extend a challenge to all of you for the month of June to just get moving once again and for those who are try something new in exercising. Look forward to hearing from some of you and hope this month will be my month.
