It's 30* at 5AM, I took a walk then because I've a lot to do today. I'm supposed to go to Physical therapy this morning,then to a ?Dr's appointment in the afternoon,3PM,I hope I wake up in time,lol John

I was just on the recumbent bike for twenty minutes, over did it a little, I usually am on for 15 minutes. Just muscle tightness, I'll stretch it out before I take a walk to pharmacy. John

I went for a walk this afternoon, forgot the rescue inhaler,could have used it too. I used pursed lips instead and made it home OK. John

Since the weather is so cold out there I've been riding my recumbent bike for ,at least, 12 minutes in the morning, another 12 min. in the afternoon, then stretching the rest of the afternoon. John

Just getting over the flu,I manage just a half a block to and from= 1 block, I was so pooped I couldn't believe it. I guess it'll take some time to get my strength back.

I only went for a short walk, 4 blocks two there a rest, and two back. I had to pick up some medication for my trip tomorrow. John

I could only walk around the apartment today, and that was while holding on too! My lumbar is killing me. My next dose of pain killer isn't until three o'clock. Back to the heating pad, I can't sit for long, my SI joint is killing me all weekend got tomorrow yet. John

my doctor prescribed Tizanidine 4mg's., to help stop the spasms in my lower legs and it worked too! I managed to walk three miles today and I feel great too 11/17 John/NY

I'll be exercising outdoors today but first I must do, at least, ten minutes of stretching before I go because I've been getting cramps to my lower legs while walking and cramps to my toes too! John

I exercised indoors today, it was a beautiful day outside but ,because of pain, I stayed in.
I did get in twenty minutes of exercise this morning. I seem to be in less pain in the early mornings. John

I walked just one block today, I was just burnt out because of insomnia. I've been getting about three hours sleep at night and napping during the day. Today, I'll try to stay awake,no naps. I hope to get some good sleep tonight.

I walk three blocks this morning, no wait, it had to be four blocks. This afternoon I will be walking a half a mile to the food shopping center,pick up some groceries and take a cab back.

I'm taking it easy today, I don't want to be so sore,ha,ha,ha. I just walked four blocks this morning and will have to walk another four this afternoon,you see, my medication wasn't ready
so they told me to come back at 1 or there abouts to get the rest of the medications.

instead of Jocko56beer11 I'm now Jocko56beer2. I couldn't sign back into SP without rejoining.
I managed a quarter mile each way, there and back. No problems breathing, just some huffing and puffing coming up my stairwell, three flights to get to my apartment.

I went on a vacation of sorts to NJ's shore for a few days(four),and had a tough time trying to sleep. I was only given one pillow and had a coughing fit every night. I used my "rescue inhaler" twice a night and several more times during the day. We,NY & NJ are in a heat wave again,here in NY it's 97 now, at 7 17 PM, it feels like 100 and the humidity is just the right amount to make you fell miserable. Fortunately, I'm back home and have the Air Conditioner on . There was no air conditioner in New Jersey. I'm feeling better today. John / NY

Very tough walking today. I had an appointment at the hospital this morning for an MRI to my neck,well I took the train to get there and back. The problem, walking up a near vertical
hill(s). Four of them to get home. I usually take a cab but for the past month I've been walking.
I don't need to tell you about the heat wave that's been around since springtime,today, it was 89* at 8AM !!!!, It's now 95. I needed another shower when I got home, soaking wet from perspiration.
I re-start physical therapy next week. I can't wait,it means I'll be walking up those hills for three days out of the week,oh joy,lol.

Today, I'll walk to my pharmacist and back. My medication is waiting for me, so it should be a short wait,then back again. It , normally takes fifteen minutes there and back but if I walk quickly it'll take just twelve minutes. John

I get that excercise in during my walking up and down my stairs,lol. But, I always lift barbells in the morning for ten minutes daily. My left arm is tronger than my right. Yup, I'm left handed.

I'm sorry I haven't been writing in here. I did get a pedometer the middle of this week and I have been keeping track. It counts for all day. Yesterday I did take a 15 minute walk (I took my cat out). Through out the entire day though I did manage to get:

Steps: 4102
Miles; 1.39
Calories: 309.15

My goal is to improve on the steps each day. I will come back and post each day in here.

I challenge the team to doing at least 10 minutes of exercise a day in July! Who is up for the challenge? Each team member can post how many minutes of exercise they did here, and then add that to the team exercise minutes. Let's try to reach 5,000 minutes this month:)
