I worked in my yard today. Mowed the grass, blew the driveway and sidewalks clean. One of these days I am going to measure how much I walk while mowing my grass. I bet it could be between 1/4 and 1/2 mile....at least it feels like it. So I am taking a break from doing my walk tonight. My body is stiff after working in the yard, that's alot of work!

I walked yesterday pushing my mom in a wheelchair, but I don't know how far it was...maybe a 1/2 miles.

Today I walked a mile.

I made up my mind that I needed to get back to exercising and eating properly as of yesterdays hamburger and chips and seeing myself in a mirror. Yikes!!!

YOU GO GIRL!!! Good job!!

I walked about 2 miles today at the park. It was through some brushy area and it was kind of hard to walk through. The reason I did that is that I was training for butterfly monitoring. The naturalists were showing us where to go and what to do. My right shin hurts!

I've been slacking off these last several months. Yesterday I worked in my yard for 3 hours in chilly weather. I spent it raking dead leaves and grass and plenty of dog doo that I didn't pick up this winter as it was covered by snow. It was a workout, I feel it in my back/core muscles.

Today I walked a 1/2 mile to a store and back. Saved on gas and it was fairly decent outside for a change. It was colder coming back as I was facing the wind, but refreshing!!

Tomorrow if it isn't raining, I will head to the park to do my volunteer breeding raptor research, which will take me on a trail that is about 2 miles long.

Good start this week, I think!!

I walked 1 mile today or 15 minutes. I think my asthma has kicked in with the temps being so cold yesterday. I am a little short on catching my breath, but it was a great workout with Leslie Sansone. I can feel it already.

So much for my 90 day workout via dvds. I spent half the week shovelling snow instead, 90 minutes today alone!! I'm tired!! I'm also feeling it in my thighs and shoulders. That snow was heavy!

Worked out for 16 minutes doing a total body strength training dvd using resistance bands. It's a start, need to work up to doing it longer and more resistance!!

Due to the winter weather, I'm also stuck doing my exercising indoors. Currently my workout is on the elliptical trainer in my basement. It's only December and I'm already burnt out (I'm hoping to add a bike in the next few weeks). I try and get in 40 minutes 4-5 days a week. But due to the holidays I've been a little off those goals. I'm planning on hitting it hard today with a goal of 60 minutes.
I really can't wait to get out of the house and on the road again - come on spring emoticon emoticon

Hi have some, the Sr center has a walking in place program, but that is the one thing I find that I can not do with my hip. Or it might be because of my back. I can walk forward just fine, but not in place. I do have a stepper program with my Wii and I have to get back to that.
