Getting caught up on postings I missed so glad to see I actually met this challenge without knowing it had been given, haha! I went on a nice wildflower hike, slow-paced, lots of stops to look at flowers and enjoy nature, only a couple of miles long and very little uphill - so it was a very nice 'relaxing' way to get a little exercise and enjoy the outdoors!

I walked for 80 minutes this morning and am now on the ellipical for about an hour. I needed to relieve the stress of the day. Maybe tomorrow will be my active rest day.

Seeing today was a "Non" Gym day, I did work out at home,
I used my pilates reformer and then took a power walk
later going for a bike ride after dinner

I've been "resting" alot since I got sidetracked by a stomach bug last week. So today will be the most active "rest" day for me in awhile!

I was not feeling my best this morning so I respect my body and did not follow my training plan (wich was going for a 5km run...) I cycle for 30 min instead and strech...

I guess it is my active rest day!!!

Try to stay active as much as you can by taking breaks, walking, stretching and moving.

Some ideas:

~ Take a slow, easy walk and leave your watch at home. Enjoy yourself!


~ Sit on an exercise ball while you work on the computer for 5 minutes

~ Have a pillow fight

~ Challenge your spouse to an arm wrestling contest
