I haven't felt well for the past couple of days, so water has been hard to swallow. (get the pun? giggle!) Back at it today!

I am glad I read this thread. It reminded me to go fill my water bottle. I do have trouble getting 8 cups of water in each day. I made it easier by keeping a water bottle beside my bed and drinking some each time I woke up. My dog has to go to the bathroom at least once every night, so it helped.

Yeah. I was in there for a muscle problem, too. Nothing to do with nausea or vomiting or anything like that. I was sure surprised! My saline was low, too. I don't use salt so since then I've been adding a wee bit to some things occasionally. I certainly know I don't need much!

Wow...I didn't know you could drink 8 and still be dehydrated. Yikes! I struggle with drinking enough but I am working hard on it. As a matter of fact I need to go get a big bottle right now. emoticon

I had to go to the ER several days ago, and had lots of lab tests done. Despite drinking my 8 glasses of water, and not having any gastrointestinal problems that day, I was still mildly dehydrated. So, the obvious thing to do when I got home was up my cups to ten a day. I may need more, who knows? But I'm right there with you. I'm not used to drinking this much every day, but I'm managing to get through. Using a straw helps. I also only drink Pur filtered water. Tap water just makes me nauseated and I really am wary of BPAs in bottled waters.

In winter I drink hot water with a squeeze of orange or lemon. It's so much easier to swallow on a cold day!

Boy-o-boy, I read the past posts and I was doing really good drinking water. Now I am not so good. I had a few health problems this year, so water was not the closest thing on my mind. I know when I had pneumonia this past October, the dr said to drink a lot liquids and I did drink around 8 glasses a water a day. I just kept it right at my night stand with a straw and that was no problem.
Now, I have to get back to it. I enjoy water more in the summer but not the favorite thing in the winter.

l want to say Happy New Year to everyone and have a safe one.

I do not like water so I drink Sobe Lifewater. They have vitamins and fruit flavors with 0 calories and is sweetened with Stevia . I finally stopped my habit of drinking diet Dr Pepper all day, so this is the only drink that satisfies my water intake

Cindy, I hear you. Now today before the day ends, I will consume 10 glasses of water. I do real well during the week. The weekend, I have to work on it.

You will do good too.

Cindy, that is a good idea. I had a good day today. I actually drank 10 glasses of water. I have to keep it up. The funny part is that I used to drink alot of water especially in the summer time. I guess that a person can get out of the habit and now I will get back into it. Cindy, thanks for the support. Everyone is awesome and sure appreciate all the advise and support that I get.

Maybe add a little lemon and maybe some stevia as well. That way you get some flavor and get your water in too.

Thanks Donna. So far today I have drank 32 oz. of water but will have to continue. I am sure that I will do it. I used to drink alot before just got out of the habit. Our water is not good here too but do have reverse osmosis and that is good.

Char, I am not a good motivator for drinking plain water. Our water isn't that great. I take a bottle of water when I walk and during the day I only drink water if I am very thirsty. I drink lots of crystal lite and tea. Hope you do well in this goal.

I have a problem drinking enough water, too, but I've found something that works really well for me. I bought a water bottle at WalMart that has a straw in it, so instead of having to tip it up to drink, I can just suck up the water. It holds about 4 cups, I think, and I keep it with me at the computer, in the car, wherever, and just suck up the water. For some reason, drinking through a straw is a lot faster than trying to gulp all that water.
Good luck! emoticon

My goal is to drink 8-10 glasses of water a day. I normally do not have a problem but for some unknown reason I cannot get past 4 glasses of water a day. Any support I can get from anyone will be great. I have to say today I did drink 6 glasses of water a day so maybe I am on my way.
