I also heard that Etools will be free to lifetime members as long as they stay at goal.
They'll need to weight-in at least once a month, and if they are at goal, all rules apply, Etool is free.

BUT
They will need to give their CREDIT CARD number.
If they're not at goal, they will be charged on their credit card.

Suggestion that was given:
Open a seperate DEBIT checking credit card. Put in just enough money to cover one time charge, Add, if necessary, or just drop Etools.
I may be totally wrong......

it makes great sence to me that ROOT vegetables will be higher points.
FRUITS with hight sugar and carbs will have high points instead of zero points.
All other fruits will be 1 point each.
Maybe only the first 2-3 fruits (daily) will still be zero points, and above it they will have points.
These are my guesses. let's see what will really happen.

IRISHEI,
I see a great deal of truth in what you are saying. Some of the changes may be because of the competitiveness of the diet industry. However, I do believe they have always been a healthy source of weight loss, but as you learn it, and break it down as you just did so well, it is possible to see that points etc. are simply portion control. Once, you have what is right for you, you are doing the same and winning the battle. Sometimes it is easier to have a way to determine portions. I have been involved in WW all my life, through my mother and her friends to me. I agree, it is a good idea just like any rumor to wait and see.
ZUCCHINIQUEEN and SMIDGON I also understand the point confusion. It is like trying to find what calorie intake is right for you and your activity. It is a bit easier, because you get a range to work within. I remember I had the lowest at the time 15-20 approximately. I did best mid-range at about 18. I wasn't on the new system long because I was changed to a diabetic diet.
I wish you all the best and I know that whatever comes down the pipe each and everyone of you will find your way to success.emoticonemoticon

I heard that the lifetime member may possibly get E tools free. I also heard the the fruits and veggies value may change. These are all rumors, so we will just have to wait and see.

I know I am not going to Re-buy a new set of books, etc. I have the WW PP from my re-joining
in December 2009 - March 2010 (3 months paid) and then been doing it on my own.
Cost can be to much when you are retired. I know people are saying they just want people to keep coming forever. I do think WW is the best plan and hope they keep PP plan.

I have learned that 3 fruits, means 1/2 c ea, so if the fruit is large, I only have one large apple and a clementine = 3
Or if having a banana I buy small ones, otherwise, I count medium banana as=2 fruits
Grapes and Strawberries I measure 1/2 cup for one serving. Took me awhile to figure this out.
Hope this is not too confusing, but this helped me.

Oh, Smigon, I hear you! I gain weight when I get above my points, too. Eating fruit for zero points was fun. I thought I might have to invest in a banana farm. The weight I gained was not fun, however.. Back to the Momentum program!

I reached goal on the orignal points program.

Went back when PointsPlus first started. I actually gained wt.. When it is over 18-20 pts. I am going to gain, no matter what.

Mimi,
As you know, I no longer am a member of WW. However, I think you are on target, when you comment that fruit would no longer count zero points. As an outsider my reaction on learning this was part of the program, I thought it ridiculous. Fruits can be some of the highest forms of sugar. To be honest, the points program wasn't my favorite version anyway. However, I do believe WW to be one of the most nutrition conscious programs, and with the new additions one of the healthiest. Following the plan works well and many have lost a great deal of weight.emoticon

Someone mentioned to me that The PointsPlus plan of WW will have some changes this coming December.
Does anyone know what the changes are?

One of my guesses is that fruits will not be 0 points anymore.......

Thank you
