I know all the experts say that is what you are supposed to do, but if my smallest meal was at supper time, my late night snacking would be worse than it already is. My biggest "meal" is usually at lunch time and lunch time is around 11:30 am.
Smoothie for breakfast, protein & 2 veggies for lunch, about the same for supper. Snacks are usually fruit, cheese or popcorn.
