Two are my favorites

1. Food processor. I use it a lot.

2. The VitaMix machine. I use it almost every day.
It's a wonderful very powerful "blender".
I can do hot soups in minutes, "Ice Creams" with healthy ingredients in seconds and so much more. I put fruits with the PEEL and it liquifies it. I can also leave in the seeds, but I prefer not to.
I make applesauce in few minutes from apples (with the peel) and a little water.
I bought it about 7 years ago and paid for it $325.00, and it is worth every penny I've spent because I USE IT all the time.
Today I believe the price is about $425.00, but they also have used VitaMix machines that they fix and give warranty, I think... for much less money.

I'll celebrate 9 years of maintenance on July 2nd, 2012!

I don't use many gadgets very often. I always use my scale, (which really isn't a gadget), I have a food chopper I use fairly frequently rather than the food processor, I make smoothies often, so I use my blender, and my foreman grill occassionally, mostly for cod.

I agree that an immersion blender is a wonderful thing to have! My Kitchen Aid mixer is also a necessity.

My Bamix wand immersion blender from Switerland. I've had it for years... got it from a home show for about $200 and thought I was nuts for spending that much money, but I've used it for years and I know that I would definitely replace it for whatever it costs now if I had to.
