I have to admit that I have been slipping on this one. I do have to be careful when I take them because they upset my stomach so much. I try to take them with a large meal. I like B complex, Vitamin D (Dr Orders), fish oil, vit c and grape seed.
I take a daily multivitamin already. I actually remember it because I put it in with my other pills (blood pressure & one other), so I can't forget it then. :) I actually have to buy a new bottle of vitamins next week, so I'll be reading over all the ones you guys take here. :)
I am getting back in the habit of taking a daily multi vitamin. I take the Kirkland brand multi, but prefer Centrum complete. I also take Fish, Flaxseed, and Borage Oil combo by Spring Valley to help with my cholesterol and arthritis/inflammation. Sometimes I take a B-Complex and Iron and Calcium w/ D...if I remember. :-) Sher
I am not overweight, just under-tall! :-) (Garfield) Let go, let God...one day at a time.
I take a Woman's Multi Vitamin as well as extra Vitamin C from Nov-Mid April, Magnesium supplement, Super B Complex, Calcium, and Fish Oil. (All recommended by my nutritionist). Just recently added the Magnesium because when I got tested while I was in the hospital they said my magnesium was low and gave me some before they would release me. Will have my doctor retest me next time I get blood work.
One thing my Dr. mentioned to me because I used to think as long as I ate healthy foods (who was I kidding???) that I was getting all of the proper nutrients. She said with the amount of cardio I do (an hour 5-6 days per week) that I'm sweating out a lot of nutrients and need a supplement. Add to that the fact that I'm over 50 and don't absorb as many nutrients from food, less vitamin D from the sun, etc. and it's necessary for me to take my vitamins. Since my Mom and sister both have osteoporosis, I'm very dedicated to taking calcium along with getting in 3 dairies a day.
I don't always notice how I feel when I take my vitamins, but I do notice how badly I feel if I slack off on them - I'm irritable, tired, and just out of sorts.
This is an easy one for me. I've been really good with the vitamins (take a Women Over 50 type from CVS). My GYN also did blood tests since my hysterectomy and put me on Vit D and Calcium, so I take both of those. They are all right by my bed, so I take them before I go to sleep. It's impossible to miss them, and since I always put water by my bed so I wake up and drink at least 8 oz right away, there are no excuses.

You can't have results and excuses at the same time!
I have been failing miserably with this guideline my whole life, except when I was pregnant with each of my 4 children. On contemplating this fact, I have decided that if I could take vitamins when I thought it would benefit my kids, then I can surely do the same if it will benefit ME!!! I do have vitaminsin my medicine cabinet, but I don't even know if they have expired. I do know that I will have to take them in the afternoon, because they make me feel sick if I take them in the morning. I will dig them out this afternoon, and will take one!
This is a guideline I need to work on consistency. I sometimes forget to take my vitamins. I take Centrum silver and caltrate 600 +D I'll create a HABIT to take my vitamins first thing in the morning every day.
Lisa Thank you so much for running this workshop. You do such a superb job!
I'll celebrate 10 years of maintenance on July 2nd, 2014!
I have had so much going on, I haven't been able to keep up with all of my mail. I plan to change that. I have routinely taken a multivitamin for several years now. I generally take Centrum. Even though I try to eat balanced foods, I probably miss something so I believe a supplement in moderation is a good thng.

We know that Weight Watchers works. We count our points. We eat filling foods to help us stay full longer, drink our water and all that other "good stuff" but how often do you actually follow all 9 Healthy Guidelines that Weight Watchers gives us?
Each week, we will be featuring and concentrating on one of the Healthy Guidelines while keeping the previous weeks guideline as well. We invite you to join us as we develop and build upon each of the Healthy Guidelines for a more healthier you!
Our 6th Healthy Guideline is to take a Vitamin/Mineral Supplement each day.
What Counts: Any supplement that contains no more than 100 percent of the daily recommendation for vitamins or minerals.
Why? Will ensure that your nutrient needs from A-Z (vitamin A - Zinc) are covered.
*Above was taken from page 25 of WW Start Eating Smarter Book 1.
Today's Challenge: Take your daily Vitamin, eat 1-2 servings of lean protein, 2 tsp of healthy oil PLUS 6 (8oz) glasses of liquid, drink/eat 2-3 servings of milk products and consume 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables. I know it sounds like a lot but you've been doing most of this for awhile now. Should becoming second nature to you! Come on now...I KNOW you can do this! HONK! HONK! HONK!
Question of the day: Have you already been taking a daily Vitamin/Mineral Supplement or is this totally new to you? Which one do you take?
Now, go take your vity, eat your (lean) proteins, enjoy your oil, drink your liquids and eat your fruits and veggies as well as drink your milk and other dairy products! This should be an easy week. I look forward to everybody participating!
