My plan for the next week is to stop tasting while I'm baking. I eat so much cookie dough and then I have no idea how many points I've eaten, so I won't eat any flex points, then I feel deprived...it's a vicious cycle.

So, I'm going to only bake cookies while I'm on the phone with my headset on. Can't eat a bite then:)

I have really slacked on my exercising lately. Too busy getting ready for Christmas, and too much computer time now that the weather has gotten so cold. It is so easy to get out of a good habit, and into a bad habit.

I will promise myself I will exercise 30 minutes a day from now till Dec. 31, 2008. Even if I have to exercise only 10 Min. in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Starting today I will do my 30 min of exercise every day.

So Dot and Jacque...What is your specific goal that you are going to work on from now until the end of the year? (Besides being ON PLAN).

I think it's important to have a specific goal in mind. That way, it's right there in front of you and it's easily measured. For me, my goal is not to eat any marshmallows. It will be measured by whether or not I eat marshmallows. Get the idea?

Anybody else out there wanting to move forward on their journey to health? Please jump in and let's us support you and hold you accountable.

Right now I would say that my biggest struggle is Marshmallows. Yup! You heard right! I can eat a bag a day easy. They are nothing but sugar and empty calories. I'm going to have to quit cold turkey as this isn't something I can control once I get going.

So...from this moment on my goal is to not eat any marshmallows. (at least for now). Today wasn't perfect because I've already indulged but from this moment on I WILL abstain! I wonder if there's such a thing as MA (Marshmallow Anonymous)? LOL!

I put too many demands on myself. I tend to add unnecessary stress. I will work on slowing down and not over do it.

I do want to stay focused on following my W.W. core plan........1 day at a time. emoticon

Happy Saturday Everybody! Mimi is unavailable for the next week so I told her that I would keep the ball rolling here.

I thought for the upcoming week that I would change things up a bit. Rather than concentrating on being ON PLAN for the day (although I do encourage you to continue to do so), I thought we'd look at developing new habits or breaking an old habit.

Ask yourself what is the ONE thing that you would like to start doing or stop doing that would help improve your life and advance you on your journey to health? These will be different for each person as we're at different stages on our journey. What may be a problem for one person may not be a problem for another.

You may want to work on writing down everything you eat and drink for the day, do an extra 10 min of exercise, drink 2 extra glasses of water each day (for a total of 10), spend 5 min meditating and giving yourself positive self talk each morning and then again at night before you go to bed, getting 8 full hours of sleep each night, eliminate soda or excess sugar, or add in extra fruits and veggies. Whatever it is...pick ONE and work on it. From now until the end of the year. :)

Tell us what it is that you'll be working on and then each day let us know how you did the day before.

Remember....it's PERSEVERANCE NOT PERFECTION that is the key!! Just keep on keeping on! YOU CAN DO IT! HONK! HONK! HONK!!
