emoticonFriday: Reward yourself for a good weeks hard workemoticon

I don't deserve any rewards today. I did not have a SP week, just a paperwork week.

I think I will reward myself with a nice long walk in the beautifull grass fields. Relax and take a break from this office of mine. Enjoying the outdoors today, because I did not have much of it this week.

One little step at a time.

emoticonWednesday: Let's look pretty. emoticon
I know this does not count to working moms.
But staying home moms is another story. You get up early and grab the closes dress and run to get the kids at school intime, helping hubby to get to work, and then the cleaning starts. Before you know they are all coming back home again and you did not even had the time to put some make up on.

It's just running all day long, and so pass one day after the next, you just have the most needy things on to look not to bad.

Today we are making a change on that. Take the time today and wear something you like. Blow dry your hair, put that make up on and looking GOOD.

Let your family start asking: "Where do you going today?" Smile and tell them you have done it for them, some hugs are welcome at that moment too.

One little step at a time.

Health Benefits of Apples

The variety of health benefits supplied by apples is huge and very encouraging. This fist-sized snack that needs little preparation - unless they are being cooked - is packed with health-boosting properties:
•Help protect bone health
•Help prevent asthma, heart disease, and cancers such as lung, breast, colon, and liver
•New research also suggests that the phytonutrient called quercetin may help to prevent Alzheimer's and Parkinsonism
•Pectin in apples can help to lower LDL cholesterol
•Good for diabetes and weight management
•Good source of vitamin C
•Good source of soluble and insoluble fiber
•Excellent source of flavanoids and antioxidants

It is important to keep in mind that a lot of the goodness of apples is contained in the skin. If eaten whole, they need to be washed carefully - right before being consumed.

Ok Yesterday I was sick and somehow skip this forum. While I was busy going through the forums today, a friend visit me and now it's too late to put out a challenge.

So maybe I must put the whole weeks program out on a Mondays. Hmmm so we learn... Practical life not always allow you plans to work like you thought..

Keep on writing you pep-talks for Nov. We will start over on Monday.

Dear Celeste'
You work so hard to help other people, this is commendable, but its time you also help yourself.
You need to make a fresh start. You are tired, but ironically enough, if you make a start, you'll be less tired, because added weight = added fatigue.
Take a short rest if you must, but dont rest from healthy choices.
You know yourself well, you know you just need one GOOD week to get back into the habits you were in when you lost the 20kgs. So how about it Celeste' you with me on starting?

Guess I'd better be, or I'm turning myself into a split personality.emoticon

Nice idea Hannelie, very original.

I will NOT run emotionally from compliments and hide in fat layers for protection.

Dear Hannelie12
You are standing on the edge of breaking 80kg, but you are still not there. Let's break the 80ties for good in this month. You will feel so great when you are under the 80ties when all the families come to visit. For sure they going to notice it.. Just think of all the compliments...

You are doing great with your Rookie-challenge, but you need to do something more on your off days. Maybe you must think of cycling more often, and that squash with your son. Start slow. Your problem is not starting something, your problem is to continue with it. So come on, you can do it. You show yourself with the 5km walking program and now with your Rookie challenge.

Your water intake have been EXECELLENT for Oct. Keep it up.. You need to focus more on fruit and veggies. Lucky for you, you are in a great team, they going to give you alot of new recipies... Use it and get rid of the 80ties once and for all..

Good luck and best wishes
Hannelie
