Hi all! I'm also in the north of Jozi (just before Midrand)... been Sparking for a few years now and it's great! Originally from the Cape (Northern Suburbs) and spent a few years in Limpopo (loved it!) I have 2 kids of school going age so it's really time to lose the "baby weight" LOL - ironically hubby just asked me this morning when I'd be ready to start adding to the brood...hmmm
wow I only saw this forum now! I am also from the JHB Northern Suburbs - it would be great to get everyone together to do a hike / walk etc one weekend - i know some other groups (like the girls in San Antonio and New York) have done that and its turned out to be a really great day!

Hi there! I am from Roodepoort, on the West Rand. I am very inactive when it comes to outdoor events, but am a member of the local biokinetics centre, so I do get on a stationary bike or a treadmill every now and again. Its a lovely place to train, and does not feel commercial like other gyms. The 2 biokineticists there are also extremely helpful when you have to deal with injuries or health problems.
Hi there, I'm based in Gauteng (northern suburbs) and recently had a little baby so will be fixated on returning to my pre-birth weight and firmness over the next few months. Keen on getting back to running but not 21km till next year so will be glad for updates on road races in and around Johannesburg.

I live in Randburg and I'm always busy with something. The next 2 weeks are the last half of the Trail Series...4 trail runs acorss Gauteng. They have a short course (5-8km) and a long course (10-14km).
Outside of that I look at Entrytime for upcoming events...oh, there's also the Walk the Talk coming next month and a few other exciting things.
Well - as a Capetonian - I know that the Blue Bulls are playing vs the Sharks this afternoon -- get your exercise climbing the steps at the Stands, jumping up and down waving your arms around and expand your lungs as you cheer on your team! I'll do the same in front of the TV and then later when the Stormers take on the Cheetahs in Bloem
BTW - I do know that Meralo has managed to find a Trail organisation and has been having fun for a couple of weekends - maybe you can get her to post the schedules??
