Hi BEARPIE1,

As a runner with type 2 diabetes, you may want to visit with a Sports Registered Dietitian for some ideas as this can be quite a challenge and unfortunately is outside the scope of advice for any of us, even other type 2 diabetics can advise you on. Below is a link to a site that may be able to point you in the direction of seeking advice. I hope this helps!

Hi everyone, I am back in training trying to get fit enough to run The Peddars Way which is about 42 miles long. I am currently running only about 10 miles per week and would like some advice on what I need to eat and when to eat it for when I start to up my training. I am type 2 diabetic so any advice around this would be most welcome. Thanks. emoticon
