Oatmeal & 2 large glasses of water about 1.5-2 hours before and then 3 chomps and small drinks of water 10 or 15 minutes before. However..today I am meeting my son and his family for lunch before my long run so..I will be having something light and I'm not sure what that will be yet.

I usually eat before a long run. If it's in the morning, then I'll have oatmeal with maple syrup and either a banana or blueberries. If it's an evening run, then I'll make sure my lunch isn't something that will cause gastric upset - a veggie sub (without the jalpenos), and then I'll have a light snack about an hour before such as a granola bar or a banana.
