I think with the FR60 you need the foot pod at all times, where with the 305..its GPS outdoors(footpod extra if you want to use it indoors)
The FR60 would need calibration and may not be as accurate...IMO...
I have the 305 and its for 129 on amazon right now and I love mine...

I'm hunting for a good GPS watch and am looking at the cheaper models. Does anyone have the Garmin FR60? How do you like it?
