My running shoes are a half size bigger than my regular shoes - everyone is different. Getting a professional shoe fitting at a running store helps.

My running shoes are 1.5 sizes bigger than my dress shoes, and 1 size bigger than what I would normally wear in an athletic shoe.

Modern shoes are made with materials that take much longer to break down, and won't do so from sitting a few months in your closet.

Mine are a half size bigger. And if I could get two pairs of my favorite shoe, I would.

Definately get more than one pair if you like them!! My husband had a pair of Mizunos that he loved and has been on the search for that same one since because the newer models changed it up enough that they don't feel the same.

As far as size--my feet have gotten larger and I am now 1-1/2 times larger for running shoes than when I started. I could get by with a smaller shoe, but I really hate my toes touching during my long runs.

Definitely order two pairs. You should be running in two pairs anyway. Your shoes need the breather and I think they last for more miles when you don't run in the same pair every time.

As for a half size larger, I'm not sure. I have never had an issue with swelling at longer distances.

Hi Road Runners! emoticon I have learned so much from you, so I am here to ask for your wise council!

I am wearing the Mizuno Wave Nirvana 6 right now (before it I was wearing the 5), and as the 7 is coming out in January, I'm finding the 6 for a great price online, 89!!!

FIRST question, would it be safe to order 2 pairs? Like they wouldn't wear down right? I am running 15-20 miles a week right now and am going to start marathon training in Jan!!

SECOND question, should I order a pair half a size bigger for marathon training long runs and rotate pairs? What are your thoughts?
