I have the NB 992. I'm on my second pair. I like them. When I got fitted for shoes they said I rolled out. The shoes give me more support on the outside. I did add a heel insert to give me a little more cushion.

I don't wear New Balance, but I have learned to look at shoe reviews very cautiously, especially after the Asics Gel Kayano 14s received such rave reviews last fall in Runners World but for me they were a DISASTER from the very first run...Try them and see how you do and know that you are the best judge.

HAPPY RUNNING!

Becca - MB is right - every experience is different. I've been on the journey of finding a pair of shoes and I think I've tried every pair at RRS - I landed in the Asics 2130's. My sister who has the same type of foot that I do landed in a Nike and that one felt awful on me.

RRS has a very generous 60 day return policy so you should feel good about at least trying them. And I don't even work for them :)

I have no experience with that particular shoe in general, but I've had good experiences with every NB shoe I've ever run in. That said, everyone is different and just because X amount of people on RRS didn't like it doesn't mean that you won't love it. Did you give it a test run in the store? Have you run at all on it? Give it a try, and if you don't like it, the store may take it back and give you a credit for a different shoe.

Good luck!

I just bought the New Balance 992 because my podiatrist told me to look for a running shoe without a crease in the sole (I posted this earlier). They got horrable reviews on Road Runner Sports. Do any of you have this shoe? Good or bad stories? Thanks!
