This should be a good group for me.
I am addicted to refined sugar. The only bite I can control is the first bite.
I have been Sugar Free for 102 days.
I eat fruit every day.
I use a small amount of Stevia.
I eat Peanut Butter almost every day. (Smucker's, It does not have any sugar in it)

Sorry you got sick, but wouldn't it be great if we got sick every time we ate this stuff? Then we'd quit...maybe.

I had lunch with my son at Panda Express today, and when I finished my food I ate the fortune cookie completely out of habit. It didn't even dawn on me, until about 15 minutes later, that I had eaten a sweet! So I've decided to go ahead and reward myself for a good day even though I had the mindless slip. I'll be on the lookout for that now and hopefully won't get caught again. I don't think I'm going to start craving sugar. I haven't so far.

How's everyone doing limiting the sugar?

Well I had a slip up today. A friend from Europe mailed me gluten free ginger snaps. They were amazing. I ate about 10 of them. It is over, I am moving on.

Each day I decide. I choose. This lifestyle is a gift I give to me.

emoticon job avoiding those cookies and the sugar in your coffee, SARITAMONTEL123. Keep it up. I've been doing really good for a few days now. I have $7 in my rewards jar, and I'm really trying to go a whole week sweets-free so I'll have $15 by the end of the week. Keep up the good work everyone!

I am in. I had been off sugar since the first of January. Yesterday, I went to a belated family Christmas. I gave myself permission to eat some sugar while there. I brought a bag of unbuttered air popped popcorn and shrimp to avoid the tempting treats. I ate some tiny chocolate mints. We were given a huge bag of Jelly Bellies. I had some last night, but put them in the basement this morning telling family members where they can find them.

great challenge idea. Posting makes me so much more accountable.

I am in. I really need to do this. I know that during the (few) times I have given up sugar in the past, I have lost weight!

Great idea. I need this. I'm going to the farmer's market today to stock up on fruits and veggies. Have sworn off PB mixed with sugar, just starting yesterday, for the month of January. So far, so good.

A couple of my family members have decided they want to start eating better and decided to eliminate most of the junk food from the diet for 6 weeks. Ha, I cheated three times the first day. But now I am serious... why do I want to continue to put things into my body that I know are not good for me??

I did well on day 2, except for the mints given at the end of a restaurant meal - I popped them into my mouth without thinking. So, I realize I need to focus on mindful eating, that is, being aware of everything I put in my mouth.

So, if you would like to join me in thhis informal challenge, post your successes and temptations and "I really should have done better" moments so we can all cheer you on and give you support and encouragement.
