This was, once again, a terrific race from registration to packet pick up at the Charm City Run Stores around Baltimore, to it's location in rural Howard County Maryland.

They moved the start and finish a couple of hunudred yard so we were on Maple Lawn Blvd in Maple Lawn. It's like the Main Street to a created town. But it quickly got out on to county roads and some brutal hills. Experienced runners were commenting on them. This was a challenging course.

This was almost the same course I PRed on last year (2:06:38) but I think it was a little long. I ran it in 2:17:55, not even close to a PR, so I'm not complaining, just observing. Normally a half marathon is measured on my Garmin as 13.2 miles or so. This one was 13.4. Even mapping it on my it was 13.45. On of the pacers told me that she had run the race at better than a 2:05 pace, but came in at 2:07.

It happens.

Oh and after I crossed the finish line, in the intersection, there was a DJ. And baby, did I dance. That's called Active Recovery.
