You can usually get the previous model at a discount. Check Ebay, 6pm, roadrunnersports.com or Amazon and you'll probably be able to find them. I recently grabbed a couple pairs of the New Balance Minimus shoes I knew worked for me, and they were only $35 a pair since they were discontinued. I hate that they update the models almost every year, just when you find something that works well.
Voluntary Discomfort is the secret cornerstone of strength. We build our whole lives around increasing comfort and avoiding discomfort, and yet by doing so we are drinking a can of Weakness Tonic with every morning’s breakfast. ~Mr. Money Mustache 5K PR: 23:40 10K PR: 48:57 HM PR: 1:59:37 30K: 2:57:44
I finally found a shoe I love that doesn't rub the back of my narrow heels! I had never tried Mizuno before and I love my Inspire 9 shoes, but now they have come out with a new model, Inspire 10, that looks completely different! Has anyone tried the 10's yet? Or can anyone recommend another model that might be similar? I have low arches and overpronate quite a bit. I rotate shoes and occasionally use fivefingers or similar shoes to strengthen my feet and work on my form, but need something that will hold up to more milage (training for a half in April). I have a history of IT band issues but so far so good with the Inspire 9 shoes.
