NO cotton!! Your toes will thank you :) I have a few different socks I like but if I even think it's going to be wet out I wear my Smart Wools even in the summer and slather on vaseline before I put them on. Never had a blister.

Another vote for Smart Wool, even in the summer. I also have a pair of Under Armour Cool Gear red socks that were the race swag for a free Valentine's Day 5K I did a few years ago. They're nice too although those red socks really stand out!

No cotton! Also some shoes hold in moisture more than others.
I wear Bridgedale socks - they make a bamboo variety I love. I wear them for running, hiking, everything.

I like Feetures socks because I barely notice them which is key for me. I was head to toe soaked during my last half and didn't have a single issue with my feet.

I love Icebreakers socks! Smartwo is good too, but Icebreakers are the best I've tried. I use them for my half marathons and 10+ mile training runs and never get blisters. Body Glide on the feet is a great suggestion too. No cotton!

I wear Balega socks, and luckily have never had an issue with blisters - even when my feet have gotten wet or are just nasty sweaty from the heat. I also slather on Body Glide before I head out.

I ran tonight and the humidity was EXTREMELY high. By the time I got home every part of my body was soaked. My normal Hanes socks were disgusting and they gave me blisters all over my toes for the first time ever. I said all of that to say:
What kind of socks do you wear for damp/wet conditions?
