Thank you! I think dailymile.com was the other web site that I had used at one point and liked. I'm going to check out walkjogrun.net as well. Mapmyrun made some changes and it seems that the mileage is less accurate. Dailymile.com definitely seems more accurate. Thanks so much JOEYKTTN and ALISONANDIE!

I've recently switched from mapmyrun to www.dailymile.com, but haven't tried the ipod app yet, so i don't know how accurate the gps tracking is (my one gripe with mapmyrun). The online tracker at daily mile does follow roads, and is accurate mileage wise so far (I drove my normal running path & found it to be exactly what dailymile says it is once I've mapped it).

I don't know if has the bells and whistles you are looking for but my favorite is walkjogrun.net. I don't always run on roads and the map allows you to route anywhere. They also added a feature where you can click and drag waypoints for curves and bends.

I've been using mapmyrun.com (to log/map daily runs) for a couple years but recent changes have me wanting to try something else. Does anyone know of a site similar to mapmyrun? The one thing I like about mapmyrun.com is that it has a "follow roads" feature. This allows you to map your running route along roads without having to place tic place markers every few feet. I'd use the mapping feature on Spark People but it doesn't have a "follow roads" feature.
The features that I like are: the ability to enter specific addresses to start/mark my route, 2. "follow roads" and 3. ACCURATE mileage marking.
Please note, I don't own a garmin or iphone/smart phone or similar device.
Thanks all.
