You guys are awesome! Thank you!! I'm going to try for the 10 miler this weekend. I've had a low mileage few weeks due to vacation (Disney) and 2 deaths in the family so tonight is 4 miles before calling hours and sunday will be around 10 miles :)...

Thanks again!!

Thank you!! Alot of HM training plans have the longest long run at 10 miles. The plethora of plans you will find vary greatly in that distance. With this first one, just make it a gola to finish upright and with a smile on your face. Do NOT set up a time goal. That will be for HM's down the road. Try to stick to your plan as closely as possible until go time and try to get that 10 miler in if possible.

MOMMYROCKS2 - if you've done 8 mile, you are 60% of the way there. First keep following your training program. It is very do-able to run the 1/2, second just remember, if you really have trouble there is no shame in walking some of it, the goal is to finish! Look at this way 1/2 marathon training programs are about 12-14 weeks, and you are 60% of the way there that works out about to 5 to 5 1/2 more weeks of training normally. The other thing is this year the AF 1/2 is really flat. Just stay with your program try to get one 10 mile training run in, and you are as ready.

I really don't have any sage advice to give you and you may get some great answers if you take this question to Rookie Runners. Its a much MUCH larger Spark team with some very wise runners!

Hi There! I know many on this thread have done other halfs....I am a newbie. My training didn't go as planned and I'm weeks behind. I did 8 miles last week but the race is only 4 weeks away....any suggestions on how I'm going to make it thru 13.1 miles? I'm doubting myself in a huge way that this is even possible....:(

Any suggestions welcomed with great appreciation.
