I really enjoyed the race last year. Try to get to the 5k on Saturday, even if you don't run it. The Kids' 1 mile is fun to watch. And the mascot dash is a blast.
They still call it "gun time" even though most races start with a horn. Not so in Tulsa. The Sheriff comes out with a shot gun to start each corral. The shells are loaded with confetti. But still ... they start the race with a shot gun.
And while you are in Tulsa, visit the Center of the Universe. It's behind the Williams Building (the one that looks like a mini version of the World Trade Center ... because it is).
