Just realized I never posted a followup after running the Harpers Ferry Half. Here's my report:
For tomorrow's HM at Harpers Ferry WV, the forecast is 10mph wind with 70% chance of rain with thunderstorms and lightning. Hope I'm not the only person at the start line tomorrow morning. :-P
I am signed up for the Thelma and Louise HM in Moab, utah on June 1st. You run along side the Colorado river and it is flat!! First time for this race and looking forward to it. Also, signed up for steamworks HM on June 8th. This is my favorite. It is in Durango, Colorado. Has hills and beautiful scenery and shady.
One day at a time! You can do anything you set your mind to!!
I signed up for the Harpers Ferry HM on May 11. (It's only $50 now but the price goes up on April 1.) I've done this two years in a row now. It's a helluva good HM.
A small fun race with variety: half road, half trails. Gorgeous scenery. Extremely well managed. Unlimited pizza and beer at the end.
Oh, there are a few hills: Here's a comparison to the Baltimore HM and Frederick HM.
