Anyone still continuing to follow this topic is probably a Marylander or lives close to DC and may also be interested in next week's Larry Noel 15K. While not a HM, it's long enough to be a long run for HM training and it's only $30 and that includes a logo-free t-shirt! This is one I've never been to before but I'm going to do it. Not sure if there's something seriously wrong with this race that I don't know about (last year, only 68 people finished!) but for now I'm putting this into my "why can't all races be this cheap?" bucket.

Only $10 if you register for the Bachman Valley HM before Sept 4.

I like everything about this race, starting with registration (where the long-sleeve race shirts are an optional $10 purchase) to the parking (plenty of free parking near the start line) to the finish line (where everyone sticks around to cheer the last runners across the line).

The course is good too though you must like hills!

And if you miss the early-bird deadline, it's only $15 to register at the start line!

Why aren't all HMs this well organized (and cheap).
