I'm willing to pay a higher price when its a fundraiser type event. I hate paying so much for the for profit events like the Baltimore or Frederick running festivals. Your other observations are good to mention. I'm still not sure if I'm doing this one or the Parks half in MoCo. Might depend on the weather as the Parks has a pretty quick time limit that I'm confident I can beat on a cool day, not so confident I could on a hot day. I don't like the idea of the slow van chasing me, especially when I'm not THAT slow.
Thanks for mentioning this race. Course description sounds very attractive. I'm definitely going to consider this race. But ...
It's kinda pricey ($70) given the low-key nature of the event (only 145 runners last year) though it's nice that they keep the same price until a week before the race.
It includes a 5K and 10K with a much larger # of runners. My experience with this combo is that since the majority of runners will be doing the 5 and 10, the food will all be gone by the time the HMers return - especially if you're not a fast HMer.

Well, not exactly Annapolis, but just over the Bay Bridge on lovely Kent Island. Looks like an easy one as long as its not hot.
I haven't registered yet but this is the one I've been training for recently.
