ZUCCHINIQUEEN,
Being gluten intolerant is a major challenge. You have found ways around this by eating other foods. I have seen foods claiming not to contain gluten, but they are extremely expensive. At least for my budget. That ice cream can be extremely sneaky. Personally, I just keep it out of the house. How to stop after 1 serving. If it gets too much of a battle, I will occasionally get a portioned controlled serving. Although this is not the best practice because I do not know if it will trigger what Nancy has so aptly called the nibble monster. I definitely agree, we definitely can do without those triggers. emoticon emoticon
Enjoy your holidays! emoticon

I apologize for not making myself clear. I have allowed myself to become overwhelmed and don't often communicate as well as I should.
The point I was trying to make was that not all foods suit everyone's taste, or they might not be able to tolerate it because of a food allergy or some other difficulty. For example, in my case, I will often substitute green chili peppers rather than hotter versions. I might add a different seasoning or spice because of taste preference etc. I hope this clarifies things a bit.
I appreciate your query, because if you have a bit of confusion I may have confused others.
I am hoping I can regain my focus soon. I look forward to any comment the team members have.
Have a happy holiday season! emoticon emoticon

I am gluten intolerant. It requires a lot of label reading. Most gluten-free foods are higher in calories than foods that contain wheat.

I eat lots more fruits and protein, which are safe. I am not so tempted by baked goods, which mostly have flour in them. Ice cream is still a problem for me, though. Mostly it is safe, as far as gluten goes, but it is a trigger food, and goodness knows we would be better off without those!

There are many who have special nutritonal needs-in addition to those who are trying to reach and maintain a healthy weight.

Do you have any special challenges? If so, how do you overcome them?

Reflection: Are there ways in which to work around the difficulty?
Challenge: What substitutions do you/could you make?
