I had to get over my "all or nothing" mentality and realize that I was making a change in my lifestyle, not on a "diet". Now I enjoy a treat and savor every bite. I don't feel guilty about it and don't let it become an excuse to eat everything in the house that has sugar in it:) It's taken time and I'm not perfect, but I can recognize my triggers and usually am able to take steps to avoid them.

Many studies have indicated that remaining in a positive mindset greatly improves health and quality of life. I am sorry to hear about your recent loss. I admire your determination to keep and share a positive attitude. There is often a rebound effect-the more we reach out the more is returned. emoticon

I try to maintain a positive attitude. It affects not only my weight, but how people view me. Since my husband died a year ago, it has been a real challenge to stay positive. But I have helped not only myself, but others by staying in a positive frame of mind.
