Irene,
Sugar, and the accompanying rise and drop in glucose will often lead to sluggishness. Water and activity are excellent ways to regulate your system in an healthy manner.

ZUCCHINNIQUEEN,
Some research studies have indicated that short naps are a good way to revitalize when the midafternoon slump hits. Some of us aren't so lucky in the ability to fall asleep or to curail sleep when it finally comes. However, every tool that works is one more in your arsenal for maintaining good health.

Nancy,
Not getting enough sleep is top on the list for low-energy. There are many reasons documented. Your insight is again on target. Although tempting, and most of us will do it, turning to caffeine, and/or sugar may sometimes exacerbate the problem

When I eat too many Carbs for lunch I get rally draggy. I try to drink more water and keep moving.

Lack of sleep is a biggie! I try to take a short nap after lunch. Sometimes I can't, and I cope ok, but I do better if I get the nap.

Not enough sleep does it for me. I should take a nap, but can't remember the last time I've done that. Sadly, my bad habit is to drink some coffee instead.

It is common that we have days when our energy level is low. We just can't seem to get ourselves motivated to face the challenges of the day. emoticon Just for today consider the following:
What are some of the possible reasons for being draggy, and when or if it happens what are some of the things you might try to re-energize?
