Nell, you are so right. I feel so much lighter whenever I get rid of clutter!

Ever notice how people have more stuff now than we had 30 years ago? I watch HGTV, and see people with closets the size of my bedroom, and they complain that it isn't big enough.

For me taking a big load of stuff to the Salvation Army feels as good as losing weight. I just feel lighter.

Irene,
I agree, it is well worthwhile to be rid of clutter.
There are many reasons, unique to each indivdual. It is becoming more clear how our environment affects us.

Nancy,
These little daily reflections are simply to remind you of issues which you have and will have on this journey. Reminders of successes and goals. There is nothing in them I am particularly looking for. I am simply hoping it to be another outlet for the members of this team to share their wisdom.
Clutter and, too much stuff seem to be a stressor. I have heard many say the same things. Personally, I am attempting to clear my own environment as I am less stressed with more open space.

Great thought Nancy. I think I would like to simplify too. I have been doing some de-cluttering. It's a lot of work, but well worth the effort.

I thought about this question as Morgan and I were on our evening bike ride. What I'd really love is to simplify and to be able to enjoy what I have more. Right now I feel like I'm always working and I don't take the time to sit back and relax. Instead, I go from one task to the next. Not sure if that's what you're looking for, but that's what I really want.

One of the themes I am personally picking up through Spark, and is clearly emphasized, or written on throughout is that we all have the ability to choose what we want our lives to be. As it has been said "If you can dream it, you can become it". (Unfortunately I have forgotten the source. emoticon Just for today consider what it is you truly desire. What do you want for yourself?
